My parents just got back two days ago from a cruise on Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas - the same ship my October 15-22 2017 Holiday Stamping Cruise is on! And they LOVED it! They came over last night and raved about the friendliness of the staff, all the things to do, the variety and quality of the food. They said the food was hands-down the best they'd every had on a cruise. My 70-something father even went Zip Lining! They just can't stop talking about it their week-long vacation.
While on board, the found discoveredwas a quilter's cruise! There were 80 quilters on board and they all just raved about how well it was organized and how the crew really took care of all their needs.

What happens when you get a bunch of Stampin' Up! demonstrators in one room? You better be prepared for a lot of laughter, maybe a few tears, and a whole lot of stamping! That's exactly what happened this past weekend as 14 demonstrators got together to share and learn together. It was truly a beautiful experience. We didn't all know each other when the morning began, but we all left as friends by the end of the day.
This is a remarkable group of women. Some are experience stampers, and some had never made a card on their own before. But we all bring something unique with us and that's our stories, our experiences, and our passion for creating something beautiful to share with others. There is beauty in bringing joy to those around us and I look forward to many more such joyful events with these wonderful and talented ladies.
And anytime a group of stampers get together, there has to be a swap! We created cards to share with each other. We had to use full size (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") cards using current Stampin' Up! products. As you can see, each card is as unique as the ladies who created them.
Earlier this month, I hosted my very first Stampin' Up! Bingo night to show case all the new products in the 2017 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs. It was more fun than I even imagined! Ten stampers came and I really wanted it to be a night to remember.
First, the Hubs carried all the furniture out of the living room and stored it in my home office. Then, he carried down my folding tables and helped me set them up in the living room.
My plan that night was to play 6 games of Bingo, with a break in between to make some projects. Everyone got a goodie bag of Stampin' Up! products. We made 4 cards, plus the cute chicken egg carton in the upper left hand corner of the picture below. The crazy chicks from the Sale-a-Bration Hey Chick stamp set was a huge hit! And SURPRISE...everyone went home with a complete Hey Chick stamp set!!
Everyone ooh'd and ahh'd over the hot air balloon place settings, too. A friend of mine spent a day figuring out how to make them. They took some time, but with a little team work, they were worth every bit of effort. The Clear Tiny Treat Boxes are just the perfect size for a Yankee Candle votive, and the Autumn Leaves scent was just the perfect color, don't you agree?
The evening was such a huge success, I already have my next one planned. Be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, June 3. You won't want to miss it!
Here's what you'll need to make these adorable party favors...

Those of you who know me, know that my decorating is pretty minimalist. I don't collect anything so I don't have collections or displays around the house. And any time I buy something, I hear my dad say, "It will only gather dust." In fact, I showed my sister this pretty pendant light from Pier 1 last night, and her reply was, "It's pretty, but how will you clean it?"
So, other than Christmas, I don't do a lot of seasonal decorating. However, I found these cute bottles at the store the other day and I thought they'd make cute Valentine's party decor.
It didn't take long. I ran a few Love Notes hearts through the Big Showww.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=143263&dbwsdemoidt and wrapped some Sending Love designer series paper around the milk bottle. And I was thrilled to find a new use for the mini pompom trim! I even colored a paper straw by sponging on some Real Red ink.
Now...to go find the peanut M&M's that didn't fit in the bottles!
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I thought my club on Sunday would like to make a few Valentine's cards with the Sealed with Love bundle. I know from experience, the didn't want a whole class devoted to them, so we split it up between Valentines and birthdays.
This design is from my good friend, Selene Kempton and thee color combination of Real Red andPool Party were a big hit. It was a fun to pair two colors that no one had thought of doing before, and a welcome change from the traditional pink and red candy hearts.
Did you notice the succulents in the Sending Love hearts? Succulents are HOT right now. And I just got my Oh So Succulent bundle yesterday. I can't wait to start playing with that one soon!
