Welcome to my post for this the NC Demo October Blog Hop! This month's theme focused on Giving Thanks and being thankful.
I truly am thankful for the love and support from my family. They are my rock and I wouldn't be the same person I am without them. And I'm thankful for you...my Stampin' Up! family. You make it possible to "do what I love and love what I do"!
It may be early in the season, but Thanksgiving will be here sooner than we know! This weekend, I was trying out some ideas for my table settings. I think the copper foiled night of navy print from the Petals and Paisley's designer series paper has made the cut! I think it just looks so elegant, don't you?
And won't my guests be surprised when they find out what's hiding inside my box! (Oh...I love those candies! I hope they last until Thanksgiving!)

Well, I tried - I really did - to go a whole week without using the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set. But then I started thinking about how cute the Teddy Bear is, and I couldn't help it.
At least it's not Christmas this time!
Stamps used: Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set, Suite Sayings
Ink: Mint Macaron, Basic Black
Paper: Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Blushing Bride (The patterned paper is a scrap piece from last year's Tin of Cards!)
Embellishments: Pearl Basic Jewels
Tools: Cookie Cutter Builder Punch
As an author, nothing is worse than writer's block, especially when you have a deadline. The same is true when crafting. Luckily there's Pinterest! I'd used this Star of Light bundle several times earlier this fall with watercolors and embossing, but I was looking for something that wouldn't require so much drying time. I loved this; it's not even embossed, but the spray of tiny stars gives just the right amount of texture behind the larger die cut. I also liked the Emerald Envy/Mint Macaron non-traditional colors!
This card will be featured in my Star of Light Cocoa, Coffee, and Christmas cards class on 11/13, as well as offered as a class to go. It's already starting to fill up, so grab your space today!
This past weekend was a first for us. The Lad brought his girlfriend home to meet us! We had a lovely time. He had to work all day Saturday, so she got to hang out with me. We made a few Stampin' Up! deliveries, then drove around the UNC Chapel Hill campus. It was chillier than we thought it was going to be and we didn't have jackets! Then, we had lunch at the Mediterranean Deli. If you ever visit Chapel Hill, be sure to stop there for lunch or dinner. It's more than just food; it's an experience! And what day would be complete without a little stamping? She made a HUGE Halloween banner to hang in her apartment back at school. I only wish I'd gotten a picture of it before she left!
Sunday, I spent the whole day in my stamping studio. I made 30 Halloween cards to send to my customers and friends. Then, I designed 2 classes in November. Since OnStage is next week, plus I have craft fairs in November, I really needed to get a head start. The first class is shown above and features the Star of Light Bundle. After lots of candy canes and cookie cutters, I wanted something with stars and snowflakes, as well as some non traditional Christmas colors.
