Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
Welcome to #CaseingTuesday182! Today's card is very special because it's a birthday card for my nephew, who is turning 6 years old this week. I spent 9 glorious days with him and his sister this Christmas and I really wish I was there to celebrate his birthday with him.
I had to scour my shelves for just the write stamp set for him. I originally thought I'd use the Occasions Amazing Life Stamp Set with the cute little Birthday Cake, along with the adorable Gummy Bear paper from the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper stack. But that didn't feel right t me. He's still at that stage where cute and adorable touch his heart, so I grabbed my Hedgehugs Stamp Set from the annual catalog and that worked perfectly!
Want to play along with the CASE-ing Tuesday group?
Use the sketch to plan out your card. You can change a lot, a little, or make the card just as it is in the catalog. Then post it to the Facebook thread. We can’t wait to see your cards. You can use the following hashtag if you post your card elsewhere on Facebook #CASEingtuesday182.

Yesterday, at our monthly team meeting, we were finally able to have our annual Stamping Bee Christmas party. Originally scheduled for the second Sunday in December, we were snowed out by an extremely early and unexpected snow storm. Then, it was going to be the New Year's Eve afternoon, but my son got sick while at home and I didn't want to expose everyone to something. Then, they were predicting ice and snow all weekend, but I kept an close eye on the weather; I did not want to have to cancel it again! Thankfully, the weather cooperated, and while cold and rainy, we did not have to cancel our plans.
Our Stamping Bee Team meetings always include dinner. Sometimes, we meet at a local pizza party, and sometimes I cook a main and everyone brings something to share. Last night, there was chicken pot pie, a lovely kale and brussel sprout salad, a delicious fruit salad, mini lemon cakes, and prosecco. The group was smaller than expected, but there are new grandbabies on the way, people in mourning, and a nasty virus going around. Still there was plenty to eat, lots to share, and of course a lot of stamping.
This time, we did a Shoebox Swap. We always swap cards. We design a card and bring enough for everyone in attendance. This time, instead of making them up in advance, we cut and prepped everything, and brought all the pieces for everyone to make them at the meeting. We put all the project boxes on a table, and each person took one box each, made their card, then returned the box to the table and got another one to make. It really was a lot of fun! There was lots of oohing and ahhing and a few new techniques thrown in for good measure. Everyone went home with 6 new cards share or keep for their own inspiration.
Stamping, swapping, enjoying a good meal, and getting together to support one another is what the Stamping Bee team is all about. Whenever we get together it's always a great time! And we're making plans to go to the local OnStage convention in Charlotte in April. Watch out! We'll be the ones having the most fun!
My Stamping Bee Team is made up of both hobbyists who enjoy getting a great discount on quality products and business minded demonstrators. I welcome both equally. Right now is really the best time of the year to join the Stamping Bee Team.

It has been a whirlwind few weeks here at Making Memories. And as the holidays come to an end, the Lad has fallen to the evil clutches of whatever sickness has plagued my parents, brother-in-law, and nephew over Christmas. I'm off to the store to pick up kleenex, apple juice, ginger ale, applesauce, and a chicken. It seems that our New Year will be spent quietly at home, getting plenty of fluids and rest.
So...today, I will leave you with my favorite 12 cards from 2018. Which one do you like best? Name your favorite in the comment section below.

I wanted to share my favorite card from my November Card Club. I just loved the Santa's Workshop Designer Series Paper! And when I started designing this Club, I just knew I had to do something a little un-Christmasey. How do you make Santa un-Christmasey? You add a cute, Itty Bitty un-Christmasey greeting!
My Monthly Card Club is by far the most popular event I do all month. I started last March with just 2 people, and it's grown to 20+ people per month. What sets my club apart is it's a monthly subscription that you can cancel at any time. With many 'hostess' clubs, you're locked into a set amount of time. With mine, you sign up, stay as long as you want, and after 6 consecutive months, you receive $25.00 of any product for FREE, including hostess sets!
My Monthly Card Club is available in person on the last Saturday of each month at 10 am. Or, you can get your Club Kit "To Go" and have it delivered right to your door. Each month, there are 8 cards (2 each of 4 designs), pre-cut, with bows tied for you. All you need to do is stamp & assemble!
