It's here! The Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog is here! Get out the pine-scented candle, turn on some Bing Crosby, and start making plans for a crafty and white Christmas while sipping hot chocolate in your shorts and flip flops. This holiday crafting takes some serious planning!
Where do you start? I start with paper. I'm a paper girl and I couldn't be more excited about this year's paper holiday designer series paper. There's truly something for everyone. Or in my case , there's everything ! Here, I'll show you what I mean...
I've already been designed my September 2nd Sunday Coffee & Cards class around the Painted Autumn stack. See those sunflowers? They are even prettier in person. You are not going to want to miss that class! (Email me to save your spot!)
I'll be offering a paper share for all the holiday designer series papers, including the brand new Champagne Foil sheets. More information will be coming in a day or two on that, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, do you need a new holiday catalog? If so, please fill out the request below, and I'll be happy to send you one. (If you have a current Stampin' Up! demonstrator, please see him or her for your catalog first).
Thank you and Happy Stamping!

I'm have the happy fortune of being part of a Creating Success training group. This group of ladies (and men!) gets together and swaps cards three times per year - or every time Stampin' Up! releases a new catalog. I'm always so excited to get my swaps back because every single card is artisan quality.
This week, I'm going to share some of those swapped cards with you, starting with one of my favorite sets, Cookie Cutter Halloween.
I've used this set several times in the last few weeks and when I saw this card, I though , "Wow! I would never have thought to make Old Olive the predominant color!" I just love it. The green is just awesome. and I love the little rhinestone in her bow, too. Very girly!
Tamara used some nice subtle shading on her scarecrow. The torn Petals and Paisleys designer series paper adds to that rustic feel, as does the little linen thread around his neck. I see that he's no better at keeping the crows away than our scarecrow ever did!
I can hardly wait to show you what cards I've chosen for tomorrow!
I spent all day Sunday in my craft studio designing Christmas cards. One set is for an advanced watercolor technique class for Tuesday night and the other is a free tutorial using the Holly Jolly Layers Stamp Set. (Stay tuned for more info on that tutorial, soon!) I really wanted to do an emboss resist watercolor card that said "NOEL". I had the design in my head - it was perfect. I grabbed my Letters For You Stamp Set off the shelf for the very first time. I was super excited, and when I opened it, I stared at it for a minute, then thought, "That's strange. How do you make 'NOEL' without an "E"? And then it dawned on me...the whole first half of my alphabet was missing!!! It was time to call in my reinforcements.
No, not Sherlock and Watson - The Hubs! Yes, he confirmed, exactly 1/2 of my letters were missing. No, I'd never used the set before. Yes, I'd used the framelits, but never the stamps. I wasn't sure if we were getting anywhere, but I was starting to feel like my NOEL was never going to happen. Not to mention this was not an inexpensive stamp set to begin with!
It was time to call in the BIG GUNS! First thing this morning, I called Stampin' Up!'s awesome demo support team and explained my situation. I was expecting them to tell me that since I'd ordered these in June, there wasn't anything they could do to help me. But after a quick moment on hold, they are shipping me a BRAND NEW, COMPLETE Letters for You Stamp Set. Just like that. No begging; no pleading; no tears; no stress. By the time we hung up, I'd gotten a order confirmation in my inbox.
It is such a good feeling to know you work with people who truly believe in and act according to the Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart:
"To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments . . . in this we make a difference."
***OK, I really did have the "L", but it was such a catchy title, I couldn't resist! (I was missing letters A-K).
Have you missed the Stampin' Up Weekly Deals? Then you are going to love this! Stampin' Up! is bringing back 3 weeks of back-to-back Specials!! And just in time for to kick of the new Holiday Catalog. (Check back here tomorrow for the new Catalog Reveal!)
