Oh...coming back from OnStage was like coming home from vacation. I came back exhausted with a ton of laundry! Not to mention, a full schedule of designing December's card classes and clubs, packing the Santa's Workshop orders (shipping tomorrow due to a slight backorder in paper), my mother's birthday, and last night's outing to the symphony. It's a good thing this weekend has no classes planned...I need to clean my house and do my Thanksgiving shopping!
Today, I thought I'd share some of the cards I've received in the mail in the last week or two. After all, what good is making cards if you don't send them?
And Speaking of December classes...here is the class schedule for the month, so you can plan ahead.
Yesterday, I sent an email about the popular holiday items that are on low inventory. If any of these are on your wish list, I wouldn't hesitate to place your order them now. Once they are our of stock, the will not be available again.

I woke up to cold rain and wind this morning. In fact, when I looked at the weather, it's warmer in Juneau than it is in Chapel Hill this morning! I'm not complaining; the Lad is having an ice storm up in the mountains. As a momma, you know I worry about him. But...that wasn't my biggest concern. I woke up and realized, I didn't have a card for you this morning! So, after feeding the dogs and taking them out in the rain, I made myself a cup of coffee and headed for my studio.
On the window sill, I saw a leftover deer from the Detailed Deer Thinlets Dies in black and white, where I had used the negative on a card for December's Sweet & Simple Class. (More on that in a day or two). I hadn't thrown the deer away, and so I built this #simplestamping card around it. I prefer the sentiments and fonts in the Peaceful Noel Stamp Set, so I stamped that in Tuxedo Black and Real Red to match the tartan in the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper. In just a matter of minutes, I had a beautiful card that would be quite simple to duplicate if you had a stack of cards to make.

I had the pleasure and honor of swapping with about 150 demonstrators in the Creating Success team last week at Onstage. These women and men rank as some of the highest achievers in all of Stampin' Up!, with many of them in the top global 100. I'm so proud to be part of this amazing team of demonstrators who consistently go above and beyond when it comes not only to their amazing designs, but the passion for serving others. All week, you could hear so many of them say, "It's more than just paper and ink". They are the embodiment of "Love it. Live it. Share it".
This organized swap had the following rules:
I choose to use the Wood Words Stamp Set because this one has always been a challenge for me. I just love the way it turned out!
If I organized a swap this winter, would you participate? I think it would be a fun way to cure the winter blues!
