The Snowflake Showcase is truly lovely. I featured it in my blog all last week, and it's now available for customers, through November 30th, or while supplies last. I know you're going to love it not only for the holidays, but for its versatility long after the snow is gone.
There are 2 stamp sets, a set of 20 dies, lovely snowflake trinkets, and beautiful, soft, velvet paper. But don't wait...once it's gone, it's gone!

I hibernate in the summer time. I used to joke that I had reverse Seasonal Affective Disorder. And one day, I found out there really is such a thing! It seems I'm not the only person to feel stressed and depressed in the summer. The heat and the humidity are so oppressive to me, that I just hide inside in the a/c. It's just too sunny! I don't want to go anywhere or do anything, unless it involves shade and a screened porch.
Come fall though, that's a completely different story. The humidity breaks and I'm rejuvenated. The sun isn't burning directly overhead, and there's a freshness in the air. I live for the day I can turn off the a/c and open up the house to let the fresh air in.
Fall is a time of cleaning for me too. It's a time to count my blessings, and be thankful for who and what I have in my life. It's a time to purge and go through cabinets and closets that seem to be bursting at the seams. I started this weekend in my kitchen. I'd be challenged by a friend to begin intentionally living, and in order to do that, we must intentionally remove the physical clutter around us. When our environment is clean and beautiful, we can live cleanly and intentionally.
It's been a big chore to clean and purge my kitchen. I'm spent several hours going through every cabinet and pantry shelf. Everything has been wiped clean. I know where everything is, and have a good sense of what foodstuffs I have. Does anyone need an extra jar of curry powder or thyme? How about some non-fat sweetened condensed milk? If a zombie apocolypse happens, I've got you covered on all 3 accounts because I've found multiples scattered throughout my kitchen! And truly, how silly is that? I don't like curry powder; and I only use sweetened condensed milk and thyme at the holidays.
This week, we're counting our blessings and cultivating thankfulness with the Many Blessings Stamp Set. Remember to post a comment on today's blog for your chance to win a DIY Card Kit every day this September. (Offer valid to US Residents Only).
Today's Blog Winner: Shirley Best! Congratulations! Please send me your address for your DIY Card Kit.

People have asked me, "Michelle, why do you work so hard? You work full time and you've made Stampin' Up! your business as well? Why do you do it?" The answer is simple. I love what I do.
I've always been crafty. From counted cross stitch to quilting to paper crafting, I have to do something with my hands and occupy my mind. I'm not content to simply sit. I don't like gardening; I'm allergic to grass and I don't like to get dirty. But I love making something beautiful. Like most crafters, I rarely keep anything I make. Being able to give it away and share it with others is truly a gift, for both the recipient and the giver.
As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I often encounter women who are quick to tell me, "Oh, I'm not artistic!" Neither am I! I'm not an artist; I practice my craft [almost] daily to improve my skills. I am passionate about my craft and I love to share it with others. I know that I've done my job well, when someone puts ink to paper for the first time and exclaims, "I did that!" The pride in their very first card erases all self-doubt, and I often get texts and emails a few hours after they go home telling me, "Michelle, my husband couldn't believe I made those cards myself! He didn't know I could do that. He put them up on the mantle for everyone to see."
In today's "gotta have it all/gotta do it all" world, women (and men) have given up that creative side in order to pursue jobs, take care of families, keep house. To hear someone say, "I don't have time for that", breaks my heart. When we don't take time for ourselves, everyone - and everything - around us suffers. And paper crafting doesn't have to take a lot of time. Today's card, for example, took me all of about 10 minutes. There's a card in the new Delightfully Detailed Memories and More card pack (available June 2) that says, "Put down your phone." While rather tongue-in-cheek, it is amazing how much more we can accomplish if we just unplug for 30 minutes a day.
While we have the gift of life, it seems to me the only tragedy is to allow part of us to die - whether it is our spirit, our creativity or our glorious uniqueness. -Gilda Radner
When people come craft with me, I recognize how important their time is. I realize what they've given up to take 2 hours out of their lives to come, breathe, relax, and be creative. I do all the hard work ahead of time for them - cutting paper, die cutting, tying bows - and nurture their spirit by providing a safe space, with snacks to nourish our bodies, friends to nourish our spirits, and crafts to nourish our souls. What is made at my studio is made with love, from the heart. And then, for the cost of a postage stamp, it is shared with others who I will in all likelihood never meet.
I don't just teach crafts and I don't just sell paper...I make a difference in the lives of others. Won't you come join me? My list of May and June classes can be found below. Or arrange for your own private card class; I'm happy to come to you. Email me today to set a date! (Qualified June hostesses will receive a Free ink pad and coordinating pack of cardstock!).

Yes...that's my BRAND NEW Pineapple Punch ink pad. And no, no I didn't clean my watercolor wash stamp from the Love What You Do stamp set before I put it away the other night. I thought I did. I really and truly thought I had. It looked clean when I went to use it...on Facebook Live...this morning...right after I had give that oh so helpful tip about starting with your lightest color ink first to reduce your chances of cross-contamination. And then....
And in the back of my head, I heard my father's voice saying, "Do as I say; not as I do." That's right folks, I'm just keeping it real for you on Crafty Saturday's. Making mistakes, live, on camera for you to learn from my mistakes. LOL You really do just have to laugh because there just isn't another option.
All is not lost however. The ink pad can be fixed once i get my re-inkers in my pre-order next week. Maybe I'll do a Facebook live on how to fix it. After all, what could possibly go wrong with that, right?
