A sweet & simple blog post today as I have to run and finish last minute preparation for today's Beat the Winter Blues Mini Stamping Retreat. Leave me a comment below to be entered into this week's Prize Patrol. Measurements for the Simple Card can be found on yesterday's Blog Post, along with the list of materials used.
My son, aka 'The Lad', called me last night and of course, that just made my day. He was making tacos at 10 pm for dinner, and telling me all about how much he loves his new job. I'm just so incredibly proud of him. So in the midst of making videos, finishing tutorials, packing up card kits, and just the general flurry of last minute preparations for tomorrow's mini retreat, I decided to make a card for him. The crafter in me is screaming, "ADD A BOW OR TIE A KNOT! DO SOMETHING!" But knowing my boy, he's going to love the masculine simplicity of this. And...I used his favorite color, too!
Wishing you all a 'Crafty Weekend'. Come join me tomorrow morning at 9 am for my Crafty Saturday Facebook Live. I think I'll take this card and see what we can do to 'jazz it up' a little. What do you think?

It's cold and gray today...the perfect day for crafting. I"m running a fresh loaf of bread over to my parents, then spending the whole day up in my studio, getting ready for my mini-retreat next weekend. Plus, I have my Sweet & Simple Class tomorrow AND my Stamping Bee team meeting tomorrow night. It's going to be a very CRAFTY WEEKEND!
Don't forget about Prize Patrol!

Pouch: All My Love Designer Series Paper, 8" Square
Today concludes my week of Lasting Lily. But before I go, I wanted to share this card where I used my Paper Snips in two different ways. First, I stamped my Lasting Lily image, then fussy cut around the edges. But then, I took a my favorite piece of Share What You Love Designer Series Paper and cut a wavy pattern. I did this freehand, my friend! Talk about stepping outside my comfort zone. I'm a rule-follower and this felt like I was breaking every rule. But you know what, I think it looks great! Tee hee...I'm such a rebel!
I hope you've enjoyed my Lasting Lily series. It's such a pretty and versatile set. I can see so many great uses for all the sentiments too.
Did you catch my Facebook Live last week? Apparently, 2.9K people watched that One-Sheet Wonder video. I'm just blown away by how popular it was. Join me tomorrow for a fun Valentine's Note Card Pouch using the new All My Love Designer Series Paper. You won't want to miss it!
Tune in and join me LIVE Saturday morning at 9 am EST. Want to craft along with me, you'll need the following:
Base: Whisper White Thick Cardstock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

We were really crafting up a storm this morning on Crafty Saturday! Were you crafting along with me? I hope you were! We made 8 (ok 7, but there's an 8th one posted below!) cards with just one 12" x 12" sheet of Designer Series Paper...and in just 30 minutes, too! Now that's pretty darn impressive, especially for it being 9 am on a Saturday morning!
Use the video tutorial below to craft along with me. Here's all the supplies you'll need. (a full list plus ordering information is listed below). There's also photo template below for you to use if you need a visual.
