The Second Sunday of the month is SUPER busy and a whole lot of fun! It begins with my monthly Sweet & Simple Card Class from 2-4 pm. And immediately following that is my Stamping Bee Team Meeting. I adore my team of Stamping Bees! Just look at the joy on their faces! Any night out spent stamping with friends is a good night indeed!
We 'swap' at every meeting. Everyone makes several copies of one card they've designed, and we share with each other. You might come with 8 of the same card, but you leave with 8 different ones! Such fun! My favorite part of the card swap is not even the cards. It's listening to everyone share their card. Last night's cards were truly exceptional and you could hear the pride in their voices as they told us of how they planned and designed their card. Susan, for instance, was thrilled to show off her new bow tying skills on her Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Card. Rosie told us there were 8 different colors of ink on her Waterfront Card. And Julia shared her tips for coloring on Graceful Glass Vellum with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers.
Of course, anytime we get together there has to be stamping involved! Last night, we made 5 gift-card sized Thank You Cards using the Varied Vases Bundle and new 2018-2020 In Colors. These will make great cards to tuck in a special thank you gift, or even keep in your purse and hand out little Random Acts of Kindness wherever you go.
Would you like to come to a Stamping Bee Team Meeting? We meet at 5 pm on the 2nd Sunday of every month (unless it's a holiday) at Village Pizza. They have some of the best pizza and pasta I've had since I left New Jersey 13 years ago. Come check us out and see what we're all about. First time visitors are free. Just make sure you let me know the week before the meeting so I have a card kit ready for you. Our next meeting is Sunday, July 8th. Click on the button and email me if you'd like to attend!

At my classes, I like to have little place setting gifts, a little box or bag filled with goodies. They make a fun "thank you" gift and it's a fun way to show the versatility of the Stampin' Up! products, and show that you can do more than just make cards. This month, I have a dilemma. Not a bad one, it's very good! I have more people taking my Sweet & Simple Sunday Class "To Go" than I do in person! Sending boxes in the mail is not only costly, but they tend to get smashed in the mail. The solution? A fold-flat box that I can tuck right into their package and not worry about it getting ruined.
I love making boxes. At first, it was intimidating, and seemed so complicated. But, that's were videos like the one below come in. Step-by-step directions and someone who breaks down all the steps makes all the difference in the world. I don't ever mind sharing directions or measurements. To me, nothing is more frustrating than wanting to learn from someone else, but they don't give any measurements. I can't learn from that, can you? And if you'd like the directions for the card in the back ground, you can find them on this blog post from earlier this week. Today's Tutorial

It's a Lovely Lipstick Monday Morning! After several days of heat & high humidity, there is a cool breeze in the air this morning and I'm happy to have the house opened up to get some fresh air. Air conditioning...a necessary evil. Can't live without it, but it just makes the house feels so claustrophobic. Don't tell...but I'm seriously counting down the days until fall! However, summer does bring so many beautiful flowers. My roses are blooming all over and my front and back yards are covered in Lovely Lipstick blooms. Such a pretty and vibrant rosy red! so cheerful, even on the hottest of summer days. Speaking of Varied Vases...Junes's Sweet & Simple Sunday Card Class features the Varied Vases Bundle. And starting this month, we'll be making 8 cards instead of 4! So many of you are telling me you can't bear the thought of sending your cards, we'll make 2 cards of each design. This gives you one to keep and one to give away! I can't wait to share the gorgeous class with you. Please email me no later than Friday, June 8, to register. Class Includes:

This year, it's all about COLOR! The new In Colors bright, bold, and beautiful. Want to see how these new In Colors match up? Check out this handy dandy Color Coach that you can print and keep next to your craft table.
The whole color revamp is just outstanding. I know you're going to love this new complete color spectrum. And they're so on trend! Everywhere I go, I keep seeing these new colors in clothing as well as home decor. And we get a few old friends back, too. Former In Colors Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, and Flirty Flamingo are back in the permanent color collection. And guess what? There's a color coach for that, too!

Finally, the new Ink Pads are so much easier to open. They may be a little stiff at first, bu you'll be happy there's no more twisting or flipping. Just open and slide the cover. The pad itself is actually seated a little deeper in the case, too, which will help keep the ink on the stamps, not on the block! And don't you love how these stack? Talk about a space saver!
There's just so much I love about this new catalog. I know, it can seem a little overwhelming at first glance. Now I know how the Lad felt when the new Toys R Us Christmas circular would appear in the mail! I am constantly flipping through it and continue to be amazed at all the new stuff I find every time I look. Here's what I've found to be my "must have's" right now.
How many make your list, too? Did you notice #10? The Simply Shammy will change your life! Simply rinse it out and keep it handy to clean all your stamps. No more spray and scrub. I swear, I'm ordering several of these to keep on all the tables at my classes. You can how I used it on the video I made last weekend.
I'm off to go get ready for the BOGO and Catalog Launch tomorrow. I hope I'll see you there. It's going to be so awesome! A few reminders:

Today, we say goodbye to an old friend. The 2017-2018 catalog retires today. First, there's the outgoing "2016-2018 In Colors". Saying goodbye to 5 colors that were featured in so many projects is probably the hardest part of any retirement list. Did you stock up on your favorites? I just checked; all the cardstock is gone, but it looks like there is still inventory of all inks, refills, and markers. It's also time to say goodbye to favorite Stamp Sets, Bundles, Designer Series Papers, Ribbons, and more.
Saying goodbye is bittersweet because tomorrow is June 1st. And you know what that means? There's a BRAND NEW CATALOG! I've been sharing sneak peeks with you for the last few weeks, but wait until you see the whole thing! I've certainly got my wish list ready to go!
Here are a few things to know:
