It felt so good to be back stamping with you this morning on Crafty Saturday! I've missed you!
I received the Looking Up all inclusive card kit this week and I just had to share it with you. Aren't these cards great? I talk about taking my kits and Paper Pumpkins along with me when I travel. We all know that even on vacation we need a little down or "me" time and this kit would be perfect for tucking in a bag or packing in the camper.
Where are you going this summer? Are you taking your stamping along with you?
And I would stamp cards in a boat.
And I would stamp cards with a goat...
And I will stamp cards in the rain.
And in the dark. And on a train.
And in a car. And in a tree.
They are so fun, so fun, you see!
So I will stamp them in a box.
And I will stamp them with a fox.
And I will stamp them in a house.
And I will stamp them with a mouse.
And I will stamp them here and there.
Say! I will stamp cards anywhere!
I do so like stamping every day
Grab a kit! Come on, let’s play!
(with apologies to Dr. Seuss!)

All week I've been showcasing butterflies, or more specifically, theBeauty Abounds Stamp Set. While this is part of the Beauty Abounds Bundle, I chose to focus on just the stamp set. I think the dies are pretty, but the background stamps in the stamp set are the real star of the show for me.
When I first started stamping, I didn't know what to do with those background stamps. Looking back, my designs seemed a little flat because they lacked the depth and texture that backgrounds stamps can give. So the next time you open a stamp set and wonder, "What am I going to do with that piece?", try using it as part of the background and see what happens.
Last night, on Valentine's day, I held my first every a very fun non-Valentine's themed Kit Night. It was so much fun. Everyone brought a kit to work on, or one of my leftover classes to work on. It was great fun. We made banana splits, drank sparkling rosé wine, and everyone who attended received a red long-stemmed rose from me. It was so much fun. I can't wait to do it again!

Oh my goodness! The New Year's Stampin' Bingo was so much fun! When I think back to my very first Bingo just 4 years ago, I had 2 people come. I had to beg my parents to come just so I'd have enough people to play! But this year...Stampin' Bingo has become such a popular event, I actually had to rent a hall! We had over 20 people come and play, snack, and craft on Sunday afternoon. And the best part, I don't think we quit laughing the whole 3 hours!
We played 6 games of Bingo, split into two sessions: play 3 games, make 2 cards; play 3 more games and make the remaining 2 cards. The Bingo winners got to choose their gifts which ranged from a pack of the Sale-a-Bration Botanical Butterflies paper to a Big Plans Planner Kit. The grand prize was a $90 Stampin' Up! Shopping Spree! You could feel the excitement in the room as we played for that one!
For my Make and Takes, I used the new Incredible Like You Project Kit from the Occasions Catalog. This kit features delicate laser-cut overlays, which let the pre-printed color of the card bases peek, giving it a very beautiful and soft look. The kit makes 16 cards, 4 each of 4 designs, and coordinates with the Incredible Like You Stamp Set, which is sold separately. It also comes with a beautifully printed polypropylene storage envelope, which I used as prizes for my Occasions and Sale-a-Bration scavenger hunt in the beginning of the day. Each person made 4 cards, and went away with a goodie bag of products and gifts.
The Incredible Like You Project Kit is so pretty and includes:
