I wanted to share with you two of the swaps from this month's Stamping Bee Team Meeting. I think that the swaps are the highlight of the meeting. It's like a grown-up version of show and tell. You can just feel the excitement, and sometimes the nerves as we wonder, "Is mine good enough? Will they like it?" The worry is for naught; everyone ooohhs and ahhhhhs over the cards, and receives each one in the spirit that it is given. "I made this for you. It's a piece of me, freely shared and given to you."
As we gathered for our Sunday team meal, and then shared the autumn and harvest cards we had made for each other, I was reminded yet again of the importance of friendship and community. For that is what we are....a community of crafters and stampers who gather together to share love, joy, kindness, patience, goodness. These simple tokens of the Fruits of the Spirit that live within each one of us, born out in paper and ink, with the simple message carried within each of them - "I loved you enough to share this with you. "

This weekend, I celebrated my team and their accomplishments. It's been an amazing year for the Stamping Bee Team. We've grown from just a handful to 20+ and we just keep growing. I mean, who wouldn't want a 20-25% discount on all Stampin' Up! products, all the time!
I also love to celebrate and spoil team accomplishments. Every month I have two team events. On the first Saturday of every month, I host a free 'stamp and play' date. This is a by special invite only event, held for my monthly top achievers. These are usually themed - October's was a Spooky Celebration and September's was Macaron Madness. I serve food and drinks and we do some fun stamping. On Saturday, I served Pumpkin Spice Chex Mix, played spooky music, and we made 3"x3" Spooky Cat note cards. We also had a really cool tutorial on how to use Blender Pens and Glossy White Cardstock. Then...for extra fun, we had a Mini Pizza Box decorating contest! What a lot of fun! No one wanted to go home.
Then, yesterday was myStamping Bee Team meeting. Normally, the two don't coincide, but this month they did. I put on a pot of spaghetti sauce and let it simmer all afternoon. We had a spaghetti dinner, complete with Rosie's homemade apple cake - yum! We had a little Stampin' Up! talk, mostly about the 3 specials that are going on right now:
After we swapped cards (my swap was the quilts using theQuilt Builder Framelits and Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. (And the Painted Autumn paper is on Sale, too!), we got to stamping. I had something really special in store for everyone. No, not Halloween Cards. No Thanksgiving. And no, not Christmas. We got to play with the new Stampin' Blends alcohol markers and Color Me Happy Project kit. These new products are only available to demonstrators right now, and only until October 15th! There isn't even a general release date scheduled yet, but I hope it's in time for Christmas! I think they'll be perfect stocking stuffer gifts!
We had a great time playing with the Stampin' Blends and I can't wait to share them with you! They'e going to take your stamping, crafting, and coloring to a whole new level! Want to get them before they're released to the general public? Come join my Stamping Bee team by October 15th and you can add the whole set in your starter kit order. And then, you'll not only qualify for the 20-25% Stampin' Up! discount, you'll also be part of an amazing and dynamic team of crafters and stampers who love what we do, and enjoy getting together and crafting and sharing with each other.
Base: Early Espresso, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored
at 4 1/4"
Layer 1: 5 1/4" x 4", Very Vanilla
Layer 3: Early Espresso, 3" x 3"
You'll also need some specific die cutting with the Big Shot and Quilt Builder Framelits.
Using Early Espresso, layer the quilt square into the empty square and run through the Big Shot. This will. Then, pop out all of the inner pieces; you won't need those.
Then, glue the outline onto Layer 3.
Next, cut three (3) of the quilt square. You'll pop out all of those pieces and then hand piece (glue) them into the empty frame you created above.
Allow all glue to dry completely. Then, run through the Big Shot with the Quilt Top Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Oh...such a busy weekend! I may need another cup of coffee to make it through Monday morning!
Saturday, I hosted a big 16-card holiday catalog kick off meeting for my Stamping Bee Team. I teamed up with my mentor, Selene Kempton for this quarterly meeting and WOW! was it amazing! We ran the meeting in two places - mine in North Carolina and hers up in Massachusetts. There was a lot stamping going on this weekend. Everyone left with at least 16 completed cards, ready to share with family and friends, or use as class templates of their own during the holiday season.
We spent Sunday at my parents' house. The hubs mowed their grass while I spent several hours helping my mother clean out her closet. We filled two HUGE suitcases with clothes to donate to the local PTA Thrift Store. We decided to leave her dresser for another day. Then I found out she has a whole other closet upstairs that needs to be gone through, too. I guess those suitcases need to be emptied before we can start the next round.
Today's card was not part of the 16-cards. But it does use the Merry Patterns Stamp Set, which I gave away as a raffle prize for anyone who brought a display board to share with the group. Speaking of giving away...did you know that the Merry Patterns Stamp Set is part of the September/October host Promotion and is free with any qualifying order ($300). That $300 can be an individual order, or it can be a class order. I just started playing with this new set last night, and it's so much fun! it pairs wonderfully with all of our holiday designer papers, including the city scene from the Christmas Around the World pack. To get your Free Merry Patterns Stamp Set, contact me today to place an order, or schedule your October card class. (This stamp set is not available for purchase, and is only available until 10/31!)

There are some fantastic stampers on the Stamping Bee team! And once a month, on the 2nd Sunday, we get together to swap cards and stamp more. It's really a time to just share our time and talents with each other. The August meeting was the largest one of the summer. It was great to beat the heat with a little pizza, salad, and...Christmas cards! Yes, it may have been over 100F outside, but we were stamping our first Christmas cards of the season . So much fun!
I just love my team and would love to have you join us at a meeting. We meet the 2nd Sunday of the month, from 4:30 pm to around 6:30-7 pm. It's very low key and a lot of fun. First time visitors are free. If you'd like to join us, just email me. Or if you'd like to learn more about the Stamping Bee Team, click here.
This month's swap theme was summertime. Let's take a look:
Which one is your favorite?
I love blue and silver for Christmas. It's cool, crisp tones make me wish for white Christmas and pretty packages all wrapped in foil paper. Last night, after my Christmas in July class, I was in the mood to play and design in my studio. I went to grab theBe Merry Christmas paper with it's festive reds and greens, when theFoil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper caught my eye. Hmmmm...Soft Sky metallics and Christmas? Perfect!
