As you may know, my team is called the Stamping Bee and as soon as I saw the Bee Thankful Stamp Set, I just has to have it! I just love my team. When we get together, there's always laughter, friendship, and stamping. And truly, it's rare when I don't have at least one of them drop by during the week, either to help me, go to lunch, or just say hi. It's this kind of friendship I was hoping to achieve when I started building my team.
I once had someone tell me that stamping was for 'old ladies'. Well, I dare you to say that to my Stamping Bees. We have ladies of all ages. Some are retired and some are in the early stages of their career. Some have grandchildren and some are just starting their familes. Like the quilting bees of old, the Stamping Bee is a place for all of us, no matter the age, to come together to craft, learn, and share from each other.
I honor each and everyone of these talented women. They bring so much joy to my life and I'd love it if you could get to know them, too. Come give us a try on March 10th at our monthly team meeting. We'll have a little dinner, do a little stamping, and best of all, spend quality time with friends.

Talk about a stamping weekend! Friday night, I drove 2 hours to stamp with a new group of ladies. We had a blast stamping and assembling the Made to Bloom Card Kit. This all-inclusive kit is perfect for beginning stampers and is even prettier in person! We had so much fun stamping, laughing, and sharing that we're getting together again in March & May!
Then, on Saturday, I spent the morning cutting more packets for Sunday's Sweet & Simple Class! I had several last minute RSVP's and you know I can't say no to anyone who wants to come stamp with me!
I did take a break Sunday afternoon when my parents and I went to lunch and attended Cirque du Soleil's Cortero. It was a great show and a completely different stage than I'd seen with Cirque before. As always, it was extremely disappointing when it was over. But I got pretty excited Saturday night when someone from Cirque liked a photo on my Instagram account!
Sunday night, I was back at it, cutting paper for Sunday night's Stamping Bee Team Meeting! This meeting was extra special because Tanner Smedly from the Stampin' Up! home office came to visit! Oh my goodness...everyone was so excited. Tanner was amazing - gracious, friendly, and answered everyone's questions and took suggestions with good natured patience. We had a great meal with a nice Asian Chicken salad, lots of fruit, French Bread, and two yummy home made desserts. And...we did a little Stamping It was a jam packed evening and once everyone left, and I got the food put away and the kitchen cleaned, I sat by the fireplace and watched Victoria on PBS.
This is the heart of my business. To do what I love...to share it with others...and live a purposeful and meaningful life while building up and empowering other women and men to do the same. If you'd like to be part of this amazing team of stampers, and share in what we love, we'd love to have you! Our next team meeting is Sunday, March 3 at 5:30 pm.
This week, I'll be showcasing butterflies! There are several in the the Occasions catalog and I'm just loving them all! Today's card was my featured swap card for the Stamping Bee Team Meeting yesterday. It's another very good example of #SimpleStamping.
Base: Whisper White Thick cardstock, 4 1/4" x 11
Layer 1: Highland Heather, 2" x 5 1/2"
Layer 2: Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper
You won't want to miss February's No-Obligation Card Club. You'll make 8 beautiful cards using the Wonderful Romance Bundle, plus receive combo packs of Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink Blends.
As I mentioned yesterday, I'm showcasing some amazing guest stampers from my Stamping Bee team this week. Today's Forever Lovely Card was designed by Amy, who was chosen to be one of two display stampers for the Occasions catalog release. Amy's work is stunning. She has two little boys and uses her crafting time as her 'me' time.
Would you like to be one of my Display Stampers for the annual catalog in June? Yesterday, at our monthly team meeting, we were finally able to have our annual Stamping Bee Christmas party. Originally scheduled for the second Sunday in December, we were snowed out by an extremely early and unexpected snow storm. Then, it was going to be the New Year's Eve afternoon, but my son got sick while at home and I didn't want to expose everyone to something. Then, they were predicting ice and snow all weekend, but I kept an close eye on the weather; I did not want to have to cancel it again! Thankfully, the weather cooperated, and while cold and rainy, we did not have to cancel our plans.
Our Stamping Bee Team meetings always include dinner. Sometimes, we meet at a local pizza party, and sometimes I cook a main and everyone brings something to share. Last night, there was chicken pot pie, a lovely kale and brussel sprout salad, a delicious fruit salad, mini lemon cakes, and prosecco. The group was smaller than expected, but there are new grandbabies on the way, people in mourning, and a nasty virus going around. Still there was plenty to eat, lots to share, and of course a lot of stamping.
This time, we did a Shoebox Swap. We always swap cards. We design a card and bring enough for everyone in attendance. This time, instead of making them up in advance, we cut and prepped everything, and brought all the pieces for everyone to make them at the meeting. We put all the project boxes on a table, and each person took one box each, made their card, then returned the box to the table and got another one to make. It really was a lot of fun! There was lots of oohing and ahhing and a few new techniques thrown in for good measure. Everyone went home with 6 new cards share or keep for their own inspiration.
Stamping, swapping, enjoying a good meal, and getting together to support one another is what the Stamping Bee team is all about. Whenever we get together it's always a great time! And we're making plans to go to the local OnStage convention in Charlotte in April. Watch out! We'll be the ones having the most fun!
My Stamping Bee Team is made up of both hobbyists who enjoy getting a great discount on quality products and business minded demonstrators. I welcome both equally. Right now is really the best time of the year to join the Stamping Bee Team.

Aren't these frogs just the cutest? I really can't believe this set is FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration. And with all this rain we've had this year, the frogs will be out in full force this spring. If you can't beat 'em, stamp them!
These hoppy little guys are so fun to color, too. I love using my Blends Markers to add subtle shading and they are perfect for No Line coloring! At Bingo last week, someone asked me how I store my Blends Markers . I found the pefect trays on Amazon,. There are 6 stackable racks and they hold 72 markers. They take up very little space and they fit on my shelves just perfectly. (Mine came in black, not clear).
