It's getting HOT! This transplanted Pacific Northwest girl just MELTS when temps get over 85F. And let's not even talk about humidity! But don't worry; it's nice and cool in the my Stamping Studio as we learned at last night's Stamping Bee Inspiration Night. We had a great time!
Our Stamping Bee Inspiration Nights always begin with dinner and conversation. It's too hot to cook, so we had a Sandwich Bar last night. I provided an assortment of bread and condiments, as well as some homemade egg salad. Everyone was responsible for bringing there favorite "fixin's" for making sandwiches. What fun! Oh...and of course there was some chocolate! I had experimented yesterday morning with a no-bake Snicker's pie. It was Yum-mazing! And I don't even like chocolate or sweets!
Then, after a few team updates and notes from Stampin' Up!, we got down to the business of stamping! We went upstairs to my studio instead of staying in the dining room. It was great! I was really happy to be able to have my team (and class before that) upstairs in my happy place. It was so much more comfortable and I didn't have to run upstairs to get something if I'd forgotten it!
We "Stepped it Up" and made 3 cards using the same basic design, but geared at three very different levels of stamping: beginner, enthusiast, and expert. Then, we made a glitter window card that was a lot of fun. And, Julia surprised us all and and taught us how to use the Textured Embossing Paste. I can't wait to show you how to use that in August's Fixer Upper Class!
We also did some swapping. Wow! The cards this month were terrific We sure have come a long way in our stamping. It was a smaller meeting this month, but everyone participated and had fun sharing their work.
My stamping studio has a full summer calendar for you. With summer heating up, and schedules becoming busier and busier, don't miss out on the terrific Summer Classes and Stamp Camp. Be sure to invite your out of town guests, too! I love having new stampers join us.

Every quarter, I have a special day set aside to celebrate the success of my team members who promoted or grew their own teams during the previous quarter. As a special treat, they got to spend the whole day crafting in my studio with me.
I love spoiling my team! There was a complete card class using the Eastern Palace bundle, compliments of friend, Selene Kempton. There was also some additional goodies from the new catalog preorder, and a handmade journal.
We began our stamping day making cards from the new Soft Sayings kit. I can't wait to show you how beautiful these cards are in person! The kit is all inclusive, too, so that means you get ink, stamps, embellishments, pre cut card bases, and even water colored envelopes. The whole kit makes 20 beautiful cards. We just kept oohing and ahhing over each one as we finished it.
Then we took a break for lunch at the Breakaway Cafe . It was nice to sit, visit, and get to know each other a little better. The rest of the afternoon was spent learning some water coloring techniques that I had taught last year, and putting together the card class. It really was a fun day and the time just flew by.
Crafting is so much more fun with a friend! Would you like to come craft with us? Is your wish list over $125? Then consider joining my Stamping Bee Team! We meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month to inspire, delight, and share. Plus, you could earn a fun day crafting with me, too! Contact me today for more information.

When I say Super Saturday, that's exactly what I mean! Saturday afternoon was my Sale-a-bration Celebration. It was a special VIP afternoon for everyone who joined my Stamping Bee Team and for customers who spent over $150 during Sale-a-Bration. We made 5 cards using the Builder Birdcage stamp set and the Cupcakes & Carousels designer series paper and embellishment packs. A light afternoon tea of carmelized onion and feta tarts and an assortment of macarons were our snack. It was so much fun to surprise and delight these crafty ladies.
Then, Saturday night was my BOGO Bingo night. This night was all about FUN! We played 7 games of Bingo and made 6 cards, using my favorite Cupcakes and Carousels paper and embellishments kit, and Carousel Birthday Stamp Set. Everyone went home with an extra stack of paper and the embellishment, too!
And I had the best prizes! The Birthday Bright Kit and Stamp Set; The Designer Tin of Tags and Stamp Set; two full Paper Pumpkin kits; and designer series paper stacks with stamp sets, embellishments, and punches. Everyone was a winner! Even if you didn't win bingo, you went home with a special prize - a brand new InColor stamp pad!
For snacks, I went with a Mexican theme: margaritas, chips, homemade guacamole, mango salsa, and a southern twist on a 7-layer dip. We also finished off the leftover macarons from the afternoon.
Being able to do fun events like this is one of my favorite parts of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I love that I can bring people together, from all walks of life, to share in the simple joy of being creative. We had so much fun at Bingo, and were laughing so hard, my husband told us us we couldn't possibly be crafting.
Of course, I also had my retired BOGO products out. From stamp sets, to paper, kits, embellishments, and ribbon, everyone found somethings they couldn't live without.
I hope you can join us at Back to School Bingo on August 26th. It's a night you won't want to miss!
I love Paris in the springtime...in the summer...in the fall...i n the winter. Let's face it; I just love Paris! And that's the the very first thing I thought of when I saw the Builder Birdcage stamp set in the Occasions Catalog. It took me a long time to buy this, mainly because just looking at the stamp case, I wasn't sure exactly what to do with it. I mean, there's a lot of individual pieces!
I'm really glad I bought it though. It's fun to mix and match all the cage bases and tops. Should it sit on the stand or hang from the ceiling. One bird or two? Should they be inside the cage? Or outside? Art Nouveau or more modern? So many choices and and not a single one of them can be wrong!
This darling stamp set is going to feature prominently at my Super Saturday Sale-a-bration Celebration. This is a free, by invitation only VIP event for all my customers who qualified for an invitation during Sale-a-Bration, as well as all new Stamping Bee team members. I think it may just have to be a Paris inspired afternoon!
The Builder Birdcage set is retiring soon and is currently On Sale for 20% off. Regularly $17, it's currently only $13.60. After May, you'll no longer be able to purchase yours, so take advantage of this special offer today. (Thank you for using Hostess Code: 6R2E4UUP)
Here's the list of materials I used to make my cards:
Last weekend, two of my Stamping Bee team mates and I drove to Richmond, Virginia, about 3 hours away to attend Stampin' Up!'s Spring 2017 OnStage meeting and release of the new 2017-2018 annual catalog. It was one of the best roadtrips ever! We met fellow demonstrators from around the country and participated in information sessions about new product. We also got a chance to use new products!
Besides being the first to see and order from the new catalog, attending OnStage provides us with opportunities to 'swap' cards with other demonstrators. There's nothing like a room of 500+ demonstrators with bags and baskets of cards they've made, swapping cards with each other before the meeting starts and on breaks. It's such a fantastic way to see how others are using this fantastic products. Out of all the swaps I received favorites.
The 2017-2018 Annual Catalog goes is available June 1st. If you'd like to be able to see it and order from it before that, consider joining my Stamping Bee Team! Demonstrators (and hobbyists) are able to order starting May 2nd - a whole month ahead of everyone else! Contact me today to learn more.
