WOW! What a weekend! Saturday was my BIG annual catalog mini day retreat with 15 of my Stamping Bee and other Southeast Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. And what a party it was! We met at the cutest little Bed & Breakfast, the 149-year old The Carriage House in Carthage, NC. The Inn Keepers, Debbie & and her husband made us feel right at home. He helped carry in all of our boxes and bags, and even offered to park the cars in the rain. Debbie had thought of everything we could possibly need. The rooms we used were beautifully decorated and set up with everything we could possibly need. Lunch was perfect! She prepared one of the prettiest spring salads I'd ever seen, pesto baked tomatoes, and cheddar biscuits. Then, right when we were wrapping up our business training and getting ready to craft, she brought out our afternoon snack: hot peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream and apple slices with caramel sauce. She certainly knows how to cater to crafters!
It was such a lovely day and we were sad to have to leave such gracious hospitality. But we'll be back in September for our demonstrator holiday mini-retreat. So mark your calendars for September 14. This will be a 1-day mini retreat, with nothing like you've ever seen before. This isn't your typical quarterly meeting! Space is limited to the first 20 people. Registration is due No Later than 8/1.

Today, we have a Sweet & Simple card using the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. Beautiful, but quick, as I'm getting ready to put the final touches on my Stamping Bee day-long mini retreat tomorrow. I can't wait as I'm so excited for everyone to dive into their goodie bags and find their gifts. I've worked for several weeks on making tomorrow special for my team and our guests. I'll have pictures for you on Monday, but for now, everything is still undercover!
I have a quick tip for you today. Do you ever tie a bow or not and get frustrated because the ends are not cooperating and seem to have a life of their own. That's what happened to me today. One of the ends of my knot refused to lay down, and was standing straight up in the air no matter what I tried. So, I rolled a mini glue dot into a ball and stuck it right on the darker edge of the Petal Pink 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon. It worked perfectly. And best of all, you can't see it!

You're probably wondering, "Where's the card?" This week I haven't felt like crafting. Nope. Not a bit. You might think it's because I'm recuperating from last week's big Stampin' in the Mountains Spring Retreat. Or you could be thinking it's because I'm anxious about presenting at OnStage in two weeks. And that's not it at all. The main reason I haven't felt like crafting is because my craft room is a giant MESS!
That's right. There's STUFF EVERYWHERE! Now, I know it was a madhouse packing for retreat. And I know that I came back with less than half of the stuff I left with. But my goodness people! I just want to go all Marie Kondo on it because it's not bringing me joy right now!
Drastic, I know! So...imagine the happiness I felt clear down to my toes when I learned that Stampin' Up! is about to make our lives cleaner, brighter, and more organized. Wow Wednesdays usually showcase a fun or fancy card, a new technique, or fun new products. Today, I'm going to talk about organization. Specifically, this amazing Craft and Carry Tote bag.
As many of you know, my big Stampin' In the Mountains retreat was this past weekend. It was so cool to see a room full of these Craft and Carry Tote bags. Not only are they gorgeous - just look at that tag! - they hold more stuff than you can even imagine. Designed specifically for paper crafters, you can put your paper in and not worry about it getting wrinkled, crinkled or warped. Take a look at how much Sarah packed in her bag - and she still had room left over!
There are removable dividers to keep all your products neat. And when I take those out, would you believe I can even get my Big Shot and cutting plates and pads it? The straps are nice and secure and there's even a removable shoulder strap, giving you plenty of carrying options.
The Craft and Carry Tote bag is valued at $50, but is being offered for $30 during Sale-a-Bration when you purchase the starter kit. But you have to act fast. Sale-a-Bration ends March 31, and sadly, so does this amazing offer.
