And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13
I saw a similar design on Pinterest the other day and knew I had to give it a try. How did I not notice my wonky bow though when I was taking the photo? Argh...Guess it needs an extra glue dot before it gets mailed off.
You know by now that my favorite stamp set this spring was Petal Palette. You have no idea how glad I was to see it carrying over into the new catalog. You could have taken every stamp set off my shelves if I could just have kept this set for a little longer. (Thankfully, that didn't need to happen!) And while I love the sentiments from this set, nothing seemed to fit this card when it was finished. I scoured my shelves and came up with this one from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set. I haven't used that one very much, and thought this sentiment was somehow fitting.
This card really is one of those that's prettier in person. I watercolored the Flirty Flamingo background using my Wink of Stella glitter brush. Then, stamped the branches in Early Espresso. The overall effect was quite difficult to capture with the camera, though.
I will be in Washington DC this weekend visiting friends, so there won't be a Crafty Saturday Facebook Live this week. But please, stay tuned next week. We'll have to do a quick one before my monthly club comes at 10 . Yikes!
Happy weekend everyone! Be sure to post pictures on my Facebook page of what you're crafting this weekend. I'm taking my Paper Pumpkin on the train with me. That ought to be fun, don't you think?

My trip to California was pretty spontaneous. I bought my ticket just 3 days before I boarded a plane. I had lots of behind the scenes things go do to get ready on such short notice. This includes, making all my cards for my blogs for the week. I came across my pack of beautiful Petal Garden Memories and More cards and very quickly put together a lovely sympathy or thinking of you card in just a very few minutes. All I did was trim the edges and add a simple but heartfelt sentiment. It really doesn't need much more than that, to let someone know you're keeping them in your thoughts.
If you haven't tried making cards using a Memories and More card pack, let me know! I'd love to come make some with you. I also have full class tutorials for the Petal Garden and Sale-a- Bration Sweet Soiree Card Packs. Sweet, simple, but no less beautiful. Give theses Memories and More card packs a try.
Base: Rich Razzleberry 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
Layer 1: Old Olive, 5 1/4” x 4 1/8”
Layer 2: Memories and More card, cut down to 5 1/8 x 3 7/8”
You. Are. Simply. Amazing. You are! Really! And don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Have you seen this stamp set? It's the Amazing You Stamp Set and it's FREE with a $50 purchase through the end of March. And it's what was featured on today's CASE-ing Tuesday sample.
This is such a fun stamp set. The fonts are super playful, and they're all individual, which makes it fun for stamping in multiple colors. Now, the sample card has flowers stamped with the stamp set, and colored with the blends. But, you know me, I'm a pretty paper girl and I just had to use that gorgeous floral paper from the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper pack. Not to bad, right?
Come play with us! Create a card using today's sketch and post it on the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook page. I can't wait to see what you create!

I've been playing with the Heartfelt Blooms Stamp Set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog all week. There's just so much great texture, it's hard to believe you can get this effect from just a single stamped image. Even harder to believe, is this stamp set is FREE with a $50 purchase!
Here are some things I've learned while using this set:

I'm feeling behind this Christmas season. There aren't any presents under the tree; they're all still in boxes in my office. You have to climb over them to get to the printer! I haven't done any baking, and my grocery shopping list gets bigger by the minute. And the Lad comes home for Christmas tomorrow night. Time to get it together and get this Christmas in full swing.
I have been busy crafting, though. Today, I'm putting 100 swaps in the mail. And my cards for next Saturday's Bingo are all designed, as are the cards for the Big Occasions & Sale-a-Bration KickOff Party on the the 6th. My sample display boards are almost full and my head is full of design ideas for my 2nd Sunday Sweet & Simple Class (Jan. 14), as well as my Stamping Bee Team Champagne Celebration and team meeting. What fun! So much to look forward to in the New Year!
Whether you're hitting the mall for some last minute shopping, rolling out another batch of cookie dough, or getting ready to bake some pies, take a deep breath and remember to breathe. You've got this! Enjoy the season and fill your heart and home with love, not stress. And most of all, I wish you a lovely day.
Base: Rich Razzleberry, 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4.
Layer 1: Basic Black, 5" x 3 3/4"
Layer 2: Whisper White, 4 7/8" x 3 5/8"
Layer 3: Rich Razzleberry Scalloped Layering Circle
Layer 4: Whisper White Stitched Shape Circle (smallest).
1. Run top layer of the base through the Petal Burst Textured Embossing Folder, sandwiching it between the folder so only the top of the base is embossed. Set aside.
2. Using the Lovely Wishes Stamp Set (available Jan 3), stamp leaf outlines in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Layer 2. Then, stamp insides of leaves with Wild Wasabi. Stamp leaf shadows with Smokey Slate, stamping off on scratch paper first. Add color to the flowers using the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends, and fill in and add shadows to the leaves with the Old Olive Stampin' Blends. Adhere to Layer 1 and add to card.
3. Stamp sentiment in Rich Razzleberry onto Layer 4. Adhere to Layer 3.
4. Add dimensionals to Layer 3. Wind some Silver Metallic Thread around your fingers and attach to dimensionals. Add to card.
