Does anyone else struggle with cards for guys? I tell myself to be conservative with embellishments, but oh it's so hard not to add a bow or glimmer dots somewhere. I guess that's why I like the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper. It adds just enough design without needing a whole lot of extra stuff to jazz it up.
Speaking of bow ties...the Lad used to love to wear ties and sweater vests when he was very young. Oh...he'd go to kindergarten and first grade all decked out in a little dragon tie. He was super adorable.
I did have fun with this week's CASE-ing Challenge. Using designer series paper as your focal point, really makes quick, Sweet & Simple cards, that don't require a lot of extra work. Truly...this came together from start to finish in 10 minutes or less.
Why don't you give this week's challenge a try? Create a card based on this week's sketch and post it on our CASE-ing Challenge Facebook page. I can't wait to see what you create!

I can't believe it did it! I actually cut up that big, gorgeous full panel sheet from the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper pack. I'm pretty sure my neighbors heard me gasp out loud as the paper trimmer sliced right through it. I would have closed my eyes, too, if I wasn't afraid of slicing off a finger! But then...look how it turned out! Pretty darn amazing if you ask me. and you know what? Cutting that paper didn't hurt! I survived...and it made a very fast, Sweet & Simple card. Just a few layers and one stamp and Voila! instant birthday card.

When the paper is a Whole Lot of Lovely, you don't want to cover it up. That's why stamp sets like the Just Add Text set is the perfect choice. And those little flowers on the stamp itself are a breeze to color using the fine tip of the Blends Markers.
The Whole Lot of Lovely paper is retiring - and is on LOW INVENTORY as I'm typing this. So if this is a must have...you should go get it NOW! All paper, ribbon, and accessories are on a while supplies last basis. The Just Add Text is also retiring, so you might want to pick up both while you're at it!
Remember...every $50 spent using Host Code V6CH6PKM will receive Free Sale-a-Bration items of their choice from my collection - while supplies last!

The card that was chosen for this week's CASE-ing project is just gorgeous. There's so many ink layers, it almost overwhelmed me. So, I opted to go for something much simpler. I've had this Petal Passion striped card base laying on my craft shelf for over a month now. I keep coming back to it, but just didn't know what to do with it. Well, tonight, I pulled it off the shelf and set to work.
The Thoughts and Prayers stamp set is one of the very first stamp sets I ever bought when I joined Stampin' Up! It's time to say goodbye to it, and several other favorites, as we get ready to make room for new products from the new 2018-2019 Annual catalog.
Change is hard...but it doesn't have to be bad. I've seen the new catalog and I'm excited to see so many beautiful new stamp sets and bundles coming our way. You're going to be amazed!
Come join the fun. Create a card based on the above pattern and then post it on the Facebook Post. Or, if you post it elsewhere on Facebook, you can use the hashtag #CASEingtuesday142.

Life's Short...Live it with Zest! And I certainly did just that this weekend. I left the house at 8:30 am with two of my Stamping Bee Team mates on a 8 hour road trip to Atlanta for the Stampin' Up! OnStage Local event. With just a short stop for lunch, we made it to Atlanta at 4:30. That was just enough time to change clothes and grab a quick drink in the bar before the Center Stage Leadership event! Not only did we have a scrumptious meal with more Stampin' friends, but everyone at Center Stage got a preview of the new catalog before everyone else!
The next morning was early as Julia's alarm went off at 5:30 am! But we had to get ready and check out of the room before heading back to the ballroom at the Cobb Galleria. I was part of Prize Patrol and had so much fun giving out prizes to people who were waiting in line or sitting at tables ready for the event to start. It's amazing what a smile a bolt of ribbon or embellishments can muster!
One of the things I love about any Stampin' Up! event is the opportunity to swap with fellow demonstrators. I participated in two organized swaps this time. Both swaps were specific to only using products which are carrying over into the new catalog, like the Lemon Zest stamp set and coordinating punch. I love how a seemingly simple stamp set like Lemon Zest can have so many different variations!
OnStage was awesome! and I can't wait to place my new catalog preorder! I've got my wish list almost ready. Ok, who am I kidding? You know I want it ALL!
