I am absolutely thrilled to be asked to join in the Creative Inking Blog Hop group. It's such an honor to be here and share with you. This month, we had a card sketch to use. I like card sketches because it take a lot of the guess work out of it for me. Follow the design and the rest falls into place.
For my card, I chose a lime twist on the Lemon Zest stamp set. Today, I wanted limes, not lemons so I used lime slices, which I cut out with layering circles, and framed them with Night of Navy layering scalloped circles.
Do you see how juicy they look? This a fun technique that I just love when I want a glossy or shiny finish. Once you stamp your image, use your Fine Tip Glue Pen to coat your image with fine layer of glue. While it's wet, sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter. Shake off the extra and let it dry.
Then, stamp the inside with your favorite sentiment.
I'm really happy the Lemon Zest stamp set and Lemon Builder Punch are carrying over into the new catalog. However, right now, you save 10% when you bundle them together. That savings disappears after May 31st, though. So, if you're thinking of getting the Lemon Zest bundle, now would be the perfect time to do so.
