Two weeks ago, at my Stamping Bee team Christmas party, one of my friends and fellow demonstrators, Pam, shared how to make this origami Christmas tree card. I was skeptical at first, because it looks so complicated. Looks, can be deceiving however, and Pam showed us how this simple paper folding turned into a bit WOW factor. And the weight of the This Christmas designer series paper stack makes it just perfect for folding.
When I was a little girl, my mother had the Nat King Cole Christmas album. One of my favorite songs on there was the sad and haunting Little Christmas Tree. A song similar to the idea of a Charlie Brown Christmas tree - the poor little Christmas tree is one of the last in the lot, but the man buys it to take him to his little boy, promising with a little tinsel, even Saint Nick will be impressed with the transformation. And that's what this season is truly about. The transformation of darkness into light; of peace instead of conflict; of love instead of hate. I'll leave you with this wonderful tune sung by Nat King Cole, as a little Christmas gift to you.
