Everywhere I look, people are posting Christmas - me included! And then, my pre-order box arrived and I'm like, "Wait! We forgot about autumn and there's all this pretty paper!" So, my very first projects are out of my box are all about fall.
Fall is my favorite season. I look forward to it from the first hot day of summer. The anticipation of cool nights, open windows, and no air conditioning is a long time coming, but so worth it. I feel like Maria from the Sound of Music on that first cool autumn day!
But while I love fall, I don't usually love fall colors! I'm just not a gold and orange girl. And no matter how hard I tried to use it, I was a very happy crafter when we said goodbye to Delightful Dijon. (Affectionately known in my studios as UN-delightful Dijon). But, the colors in the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper are great! It's much more than gold and orange. It's a terrific blend of reds, greens, and even peach! The colors are warm and soft, much like a comfy old sweater you rediscover when you're putting your summer clothes away.
And while fall won't be here in the South for several more months, it's easy to create that cozy fall feel in my studio. I've already decided we'll be featuring the Painted Autumn Paper and coordinating Painted Harvest Bundle at the September 2nd Sunday Card Class. I can't wait to show you how versatile this suite will be!
