Good Morning and Happy Monday! I hope everyone's got their coffee or tea this morning. I have a feeling, We're going to need it.
Are you ready for the holiday? My friend Tanya and I thought we'd hit Costco after our pedicures yesterday afternoon, and after sitting in absolute gridlock in the parking lot, we inched our way to the exit and went home empty handed. There was not a parking spot to be had! And let me tell you, navigating the parking lot was like a demolition derby. No thank you! We couldn't even imagine what the inside of the store looked like!
I am excited though. The Lad is coming home. I'm not sure when, and I really hope he can stay more than one night. I miss him and so do the dogs. I should go clean out his room a bit. It's rather a catch-all for stuff right now.
This week, I thought I'd do something a little different. In addition to showcasing the Pleasant Pheasant Stamp Set as my product of the week, I want to show you how to make 3 different cards using the same basic design principle. Today, I have a card that's just perfect for a beginning stamper. I love the 'pen and ink' design of the Pleasant Pheasant Stamp Set and wanted to really allow the design of the stamp to speak for itself. I've simply stamped images and sentiments in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock. Simple, understated, and classy. Bee sure to use THICK cardstock for your card bases. It comes in either Very Vanilla or Whisper White and it is really what you need to support layers, or in this case, it will stand up on a mantle without flopping over.
Watch tomorrow and the rest of the week as we step this card up. In the meantime, best wishes to all of us who have procrastinated on our holiday food shopping.
Layer 1: Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
