Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Do you ever get a card in the mail, or see on on Pinterest or Facebook , and think "Oh, I should have gotten that set?" It happens to me all the time! I received this adorable card from Debbie Mason and thought, "Wow!" Now that's a perfect winter card!"
Knowing Debbie is from Michigan, added to the fun. The Smitten Mitten bundle is certainly reminiscent of growing up and raising the Lad in cold snowy winters. Mittens, gloves, and scares were an every day part of life for at least 6 months out of the year growing up in Spokane, Washington, and living in Northern New Jersey. And these bright Real Red mittens are so cheerful. It would certainly be hard to lose them in a snowbank!
Notice the details on the mittens - the cable knit cuffs and snowflake patterned. Aren't they gorgeous? And the added pine bows from the Pretty Pines Thinlets and holly berries from the Holly Berry Builder Punch certainly add a festive element!
I'm super glad Debbie shared this with me. And now, to go see if I can find my mittens or gloves. I'm on my way to Salt Lake City for OnStage next week, and then to Boston the following week. This Southern transplant may just freeze!
