I've been getting a lot of questions about the Making Memories with Michelle 2017 Holiday Stamping Cruise. I'm always happy to help, but you're also welcome to contact our amazing travel agent, Lorelle Hardt from Crafting Cruises.
Stamping Cruise FAQs
Today's card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest by Carol Payne. It has that vintage, turn of the century sepia feel that works so well with the Traveler Stamp Set. Using the Layering Squares and Stitched Shapes Framelits takes all the guess work out of cutting, too.
Cutting and Measurement:
Base: Early Espresso 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Layer 1: Very Vanilla 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Layer 2: Crumb Cake stamped with the Hardwood Background
Stamp in Early Espresso, 5 1/4" x 4"
Layer 3: Early Espresso Scalloped Squares (3)
Layer 4: Crumb Cake Squares (3)
Layer 5: Very Vanilla Stitched Squares (3)
Layer 6: Very Vanilla Banner
Putting it all together
1. Stamp images in Soft Suede on Layer 5. Add some background using the "dots" the Timeless Textures Stamp Set in Sahara Sand. Adhere Layers 3-5 using Tombow Liquid Glue.
2. Adhere Layers 1 & 2.
3. Adhere center square with fast fuse. Adhere 2 corner squares using dimensionals.
4. Adhere all to base.
5. Stamp banner in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla. Add sentiment in Soft Suede, along with some more Sahara Sand dots. Cut with snips and adhere to card.
6. Finish your project with 2 gold metallic circle shapes.

A friend of mine recently had a baby. Rather than a traditional card, I wanted to give her something to commemorate this special occasion. The Moon Baby Stamp Set from the Occasions Catalog made a great window frame collage. These simple line drawings really lend themselves well to to hand coloring. Here, I did some watercloloring using Stampin' Write Markers and Aqua Painters on Shimmery White Cardstock.
Please join the rest of the NC Demos to see what else they've created for you.

Why is it, every time I reach for the Flourishing Phrases Bundle, I also reach for my collection of navy and white paper? I've seen it in all colors and it's striking. But to me, this will always show best in these crisp clean, and classic colors found in the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.
Too add texture behind the die cut, I used the Timeless Texture Stamp Set to add a random patter (is that an oxymoron), using Basic Gray Archival Ink. To achieve the various shades, I stamped off the ink onto scratch paper first, before stamping on the card stock.
This design was part of a sketch challenge for my Stamping Bee team. I hold a weekly challenge, with a small prize being given to a random winner. Last week, Sarah won a new pack of Urban Underground Washi Tape. I know she's going to put it to good use.
Would you like to play along? Post your creations below - I'd love to see them.

Yesterday, I shared with you my Hey Chick Note Cards that I'm packaging as a collection for the fundraiser for Chatham Trades. (Read that blog here). I also promised that I'd share a video about how to make the box. Now...off to go make some more projects for Friday night.
