My husband loves Black Friday. He plans ahead, studying the online ads, gets a paper for the ads on Thanksgiving, and routes out his shopping maps of best buys and sales. I, on the other hand, like to stay snuggled warm in bed after cooking and feasting on Thanksgiving. We've come to an understanding; he goes shopping and I have a hot breakfast waiting for him when he returns home. Then, I spend the day wrapping presents while he hangs the Christmas lights. It's a good system and one that seems to work well for us.
Stampin' Up! is getting into the holiday spirit by offering amazing savings and discounts for their weeklong Online Extravaganza. Be sure to check out the Flash Sales, going on both Monday 11/23 and Monday 11/30.

This little guy isn't on sale, but oh! He's so cute! I love this Snow Place stamp set. I made a few 3x3 gift cards for a local toy store last night. And tonight, I'll make some with the small snowman. The possibilities with this set are endless - it reminds me of playing paper dolls! There are 22 stamps and there are coordinating15 dies in the Snow Friends Framelits. Plus, if you buy the bundle, it saves 15%.
It may be the most marvelous time of the year, but it's also the busiest, especially if you are a crafter. This week, I had 4 vendor events + 2 private classes! It really was a lot of fun and I enjoyed meeting everyone.
It's always fun to see what sells at various craft fairs. These gift card envelopes are getting more and more popular as we get closer to the holidays. And this week, small candy boxes made out of Into The Woods Designer Series Paper and the September Paper Pumpkin Wickedly Sweet stamp set were so popular, I was taking custom orders. They're the perfect size for holiday place settings!I T
Next week, I have one more craft fair and an Alternative Gift Market at a local church. Until then, I think I'll see if I can squeeze in a nap before I start getting ready again!
When I first saw the nostalgic Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper (item #139592) at the Stampin' Up! convention this summer, I knew I had to do something fun. So, when I saw the amazing advent calendar Stampin' Up!'s Artisan Design Team member, Allison Okamitsu, created, I immediately knew I had to make it!
At first, I thought I was going to have to make 25 boxes, but I remembered the Tiny Treat Boxes (item #135829) - which comes in a pack of 25, making quick work of this project. And there's no stamping. The numbers are stickers from the Hello December 2015 Project Life Accessory Pack (item #139654).
The most challenging thing for me was figuring out how to stack the Tiny Treat Boxes. Enter my hubs, who in just minutes, stacked them all perfectly. He even taught himself how to use my hot glue gun!
I'm offering this Advent Tree project as a workshop - with both in person (Saturday, 11/28) and by mail options. Whether you join me in person, or by mail, you'll receive:
You'll use most of these supplies to create your advent calendar with the exception of the Project Life Accessory Pack - you'll have TONS of extra embellishments you can use for all of your paper crafting!
The cost for the workshop is $50. (By mail, please add $7.95 to cover shipping).
The Deadline to Register and Prepay is Thursday, November 12th.
If you've ever taken a bottle of wine as a hostess gift, or given a bottle of spirits as a holiday gift, you'll know that it needs a little adornment. Something that really makes it stand out and let that person know they're special.
I made this trio of gift tags in no time at all this weekend. They'll be just the thing for the holidays.
I really like the one with the gold stars for a bottle of champagne for New Years. And no one will ever know I used the Happy Haunting Halloween designer series paper for the black and white star accents!
