I have 5 classes in the next two weeks. That's right...FIVE!!! As I was designing, I wanted to make sure that my projects were beautiful, but simple enough for fist time stampers. And that's when I found it. A lonely, forgotten pack of Bermuda Bay card stock. Part of the Brights collection, it had slipped under a stack of Emerald Envy and sat forlornly on the shelf, waiting to be re-discovered.
I couldn't wait to use it with the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies and Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers. The layered dies and gold accents really make the pretty blue-green color of Bermuda Bay just "pop". I can't wait to share this with my classes next week.
Would you like to host a class? I'm booking now for May & June classes, and looking for hosts/hostesses. As a special thank you, my May & June hostesses will receive 20 free cards from me, plus an ink pad and pack of cardstock - you choose the color! Maybe it will even be Bermuda Bay! Click here to contact me about setting a date for your private class!
I love Paris in the springtime...in the summer...in the fall...i n the winter. Let's face it; I just love Paris! And that's the the very first thing I thought of when I saw the Builder Birdcage stamp set in the Occasions Catalog. It took me a long time to buy this, mainly because just looking at the stamp case, I wasn't sure exactly what to do with it. I mean, there's a lot of individual pieces!
I'm really glad I bought it though. It's fun to mix and match all the cage bases and tops. Should it sit on the stand or hang from the ceiling. One bird or two? Should they be inside the cage? Or outside? Art Nouveau or more modern? So many choices and and not a single one of them can be wrong!
This darling stamp set is going to feature prominently at my Super Saturday Sale-a-bration Celebration. This is a free, by invitation only VIP event for all my customers who qualified for an invitation during Sale-a-Bration, as well as all new Stamping Bee team members. I think it may just have to be a Paris inspired afternoon!
The Builder Birdcage set is retiring soon and is currently On Sale for 20% off. Regularly $17, it's currently only $13.60. After May, you'll no longer be able to purchase yours, so take advantage of this special offer today. (Thank you for using Hostess Code: 6R2E4UUP)
Here's the list of materials I used to make my cards:
What a weekend! The Lad came home for less than 24 hour to celebrate his birthday. We had a fun night of dinner at the Soda Shoppe where he works during vacations and then, a late movie to see Logan. If you're an X-Men fan, you may be surprised at the ending. But those little baby mutants open up a whole new story line.
Here's a fun fact: Our Shih Tzu's, Charles and Storm, are named after X-Men characters Professor X (Charles Xavier) and Strom!
There Once the kids left and went back to school, the Hubs and I packed up the car and I headed to a card class. I find it's always nice to schedule a card class on the day the Lad goes back to school as it keeps my mind too busy to miss him.
Yesterday was a special day. It was the first class held by one of my downline members. She asked if I'd come help and so we split the class, each of us demonstrating 2 different cards. We used the Dragonfly Dreams bundle, and it was a big hit! There were 10 ladies, many of which were first time stampers. They loved using the Watercolor Pencils and Aqua Painters! And really, who wouldn't?
We brought lots of samples to share, including ideas for future classes. The hardest part of the day was trying to make sure their orders reached the $50 sweet spot and deciding which Sale-a-Bration item to choose! It was a great first class, and it sounds like a monthly group is in the making!
I'll be holding the Dragonfly Dreams Class again on Sunday April 9th, from 2-4 pm. Hope to see you there!
Have you followed me on Pinterest? You'll see tons of great stamping and Paper Crafting ideas that you can CASE (Copy And Share Everything). It's a great way to get ideas for future projects.
The most challenging thing about Pinterest is finding the time to go back and make the projects I've pinned! I finally sat down and made the above sampler from fellow demonstrator, Julie Davidson . I made a paper frame by using a 12" x 12" piece of Whisper White cardstock and added the details using the Lift Me Up Bundle and coordinating Carried Away Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper.
I loved this project so much, I want to share it with you. On Friday, March 3 from 7-9:30, I'm hosting a Pinterest Party featuring the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and Carried Away Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper. Everything will be pre-cut and ready for you to assemble. Also included in the price is your very own Lift Me Up Stamp Set.
