Yesterday was myStamping Bee team inspiration night. After a mild panic after finding out our normal venue was double booked, we quickly rallied and met at my house instead. The hubs and I put the extra leaf in the dining room table and spread our potluck dinner on the island in the kitchen while the ladies put our monthly Show-and-Tell table together.
There's nothing like sharing a meal together. I'd made a big pot of Broccoli Cheese Soup earlier in the day, along with a Coconut Pound Cake. We had a dusting of snow earlier in the day, and it was chilly outside. The soup really hit the spot. Everyone brought something to share. We had a lovely kale and poppy seed salad; a fresh spring potato salad; a veggie tray; fresh apple slices; and sodas and coffee. Except for the pound cake, it was a very healthy meal!
Then, it was time for stamping. We made four cards showcasing the Sale-a-Bration items that will be available for only a few more weeks. There was Tasty Trucks:
I can't think of a better way to spend the Sunday afternoon!

Today, I want to recognize a few Stamping Bee team members whose work was truly inspiring at our last inspiration night. Every 2nd Sunday of the month, we meet in the early evening to share what our latest projects. We have a team 'swap', where we make enough cards of one design to share with everyone there. It's always fun to see what designs everyone comes up with. This month's theme was Sale-a-Bration; everyone had to use something from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.
Our Stamping Bee Team is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who are working on building their own small business, as well as hobbyists who love Stampin' Up! We come from all walks of life and are from near and far. Even though we all started as strangers, we've built a great group of friends who encourage and support each other. I am truly inspired by this great group of women who share their time, their talents, and their passion for bringing joy and compassion to others.

Why is it, every time I reach for the Flourishing Phrases Bundle, I also reach for my collection of navy and white paper? I've seen it in all colors and it's striking. But to me, this will always show best in these crisp clean, and classic colors found in the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.
Too add texture behind the die cut, I used the Timeless Texture Stamp Set to add a random patter (is that an oxymoron), using Basic Gray Archival Ink. To achieve the various shades, I stamped off the ink onto scratch paper first, before stamping on the card stock.
This design was part of a sketch challenge for my Stamping Bee team. I hold a weekly challenge, with a small prize being given to a random winner. Last week, Sarah won a new pack of Urban Underground Washi Tape. I know she's going to put it to good use.
Would you like to play along? Post your creations below - I'd love to see them.

Every second Sunday, my Stamping Bee team gets together to share ideas, swap cards and designs we've made, eat dinner, laugh, and do lots of stamping. Last night was no exception.
We had a design show and tell with cards and 3-D projects, a card swap, team recognitions and lots of laughter. They were all taking bets to see what I had forgotten at home. And I had prepared so well. And sure enough, I'd left the Falling Petals Textured Embossing Folder sitting at home. Luckily, the Hubs had stopped by for a bowl of chili, and quickly ran back home to get it. Maybe I should have told them I'd planned it, so they wouldn't have been disappointed! Anyway, once the embossing folder was rescued, we stamped four cards that they could then use in their own stamping business. They already have their samples made, and a tutorial was waiting in their email when they got home.
What I truly love about my team, is before we started stamping, we were all strangers. Now, we're all friends, helping each other out, offering encouragement, and supporting each other in both our Stampin' Up! businesses as well as in life. We come from all walks of life and backgrounds, and yet, we've found a common bond through our passion for creating art and inspiring others.
Would you like to be part of the Stamping Bee Team? I welcome both hobbyists and demonstrators alike and offer:

What happens when you get a bunch of Stampin' Up! demonstrators in one room? You better be prepared for a lot of laughter, maybe a few tears, and a whole lot of stamping! That's exactly what happened this past weekend as 14 demonstrators got together to share and learn together. It was truly a beautiful experience. We didn't all know each other when the morning began, but we all left as friends by the end of the day.
This is a remarkable group of women. Some are experience stampers, and some had never made a card on their own before. But we all bring something unique with us and that's our stories, our experiences, and our passion for creating something beautiful to share with others. There is beauty in bringing joy to those around us and I look forward to many more such joyful events with these wonderful and talented ladies.
And anytime a group of stampers get together, there has to be a swap! We created cards to share with each other. We had to use full size (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") cards using current Stampin' Up! products. As you can see, each card is as unique as the ladies who created them.
