Last Saturday was my Stamping Bee team Christmas party. I wanted to make everyone something personal. We're always talking about initials and personalization, so I thought a personal journal would be just the thing.
I found these lined journals at the dollar store. They were just perfect. I cut the 2 pieces Floral Boutique designer paper to the height, and about 3/4" of an inch shorter in width of the journal - I didn't want paper on the crease of the binding. Round the the corners on the top and bottom of a side (I used the Envelope Punch Board for this). Then, I put Tear & Tape along the top, bottom, and right hand edges of the journal and carefully placed the paper on top, making sure it was lined up properly. Finally, I layered several layers of Floral Boutique designer washi tape along the binding to secure it all in place. Using theLayering Ovals Framelits, I cut a scalloped oval fromNight of Navy cardstock, and a solid oval from Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper. Finally, I cut an initial from Night of Navy using myLarge Letters Framelits.
Everyone who attended received a journal. There was also a tealight candle card on each placing setting, as well as a loaf of the Hubs' very special homemade Hungarian Nut Roll.
