He is my heart; he is my soul; he is my pride and joy. This young man has dreamed of becoming a jedi, a country music star, a Montana rancher, a famous bass player, and now, aspires to write for Car and Driver. Nothing fills my heart with more happiness than just spending time with him.
Before he was born, I called him my Easter Bunny baby. Born at the equinox, I decorated his nursery with spring and Easter prints. We used to joke that the Easter Bunny wasn't bringing me chocolate that year, but a new baby. So, it seems only fitting that last weekend, I made an Easter collage.
One of my Stamping Bee team members sent me a photo of a collage she'd found on Pinterest. "Want to make this with me?" So we spent the day in my studio CASE'ing and recreating this amazing collage by Connie Tumm. It was a fun day of spent coloring chicks, bunnies, and eggs. Now, all I have to do is go find a nice frame for it!
The Basket Bunch Bundle made it easy to create this. There is literally a die for every stamp! We added a few extras from the Hey Chick Sale-a-Bration stamp set, as well as Little Cuties, Butterfly Basics, and the Project Life Date It. Go ahead; give it a try. It's just to fun not too.
Nothing makes me happier than taking a vacation with my hubs. Whether we're exploring the cathedrals, castles, and mountains of Germany, taking in the rugged beauty of British Columbia, or relaxing on a Caribbean cruise, nothing brings us closer than spending quality time together.
Now, imagine combining a love of travel, with your passion for stamping and crafting? Well, that would certainly make me One Happy Stamper! And that's exactly what's happening on the 2017 Stamping Cruise!
With a dedicated conference room just for us, we have access 24-7 for all our crafting needs. Leave the husbands to explore (or nap) and we'll craft away our days (and nights) at sea with 4 exclusive paper crafting class. Fun fold? Collages? 3-D crafts? Beginning and advanced card making techniques? Classes will be announced later this summer, but they're all included in your class fee. In addition, I'm bringing my dies, punches, stamp sets, inks, and markers to share. It will be just like being in my crafting studio at sea.

What a weekend! The Lad came home for less than 24 hour to celebrate his birthday. We had a fun night of dinner at the Soda Shoppe where he works during vacations and then, a late movie to see Logan. If you're an X-Men fan, you may be surprised at the ending. But those little baby mutants open up a whole new story line.
Here's a fun fact: Our Shih Tzu's, Charles and Storm, are named after X-Men characters Professor X (Charles Xavier) and Strom!
There Once the kids left and went back to school, the Hubs and I packed up the car and I headed to a card class. I find it's always nice to schedule a card class on the day the Lad goes back to school as it keeps my mind too busy to miss him.
Yesterday was a special day. It was the first class held by one of my downline members. She asked if I'd come help and so we split the class, each of us demonstrating 2 different cards. We used the Dragonfly Dreams bundle, and it was a big hit! There were 10 ladies, many of which were first time stampers. They loved using the Watercolor Pencils and Aqua Painters! And really, who wouldn't?
We brought lots of samples to share, including ideas for future classes. The hardest part of the day was trying to make sure their orders reached the $50 sweet spot and deciding which Sale-a-Bration item to choose! It was a great first class, and it sounds like a monthly group is in the making!
I'll be holding the Dragonfly Dreams Class again on Sunday April 9th, from 2-4 pm. Hope to see you there!

This is my Stamping Bee Friday Sketch Challenge card. It uses a very basic layout, and I chose to dress it up with some watercoloring and copper embossing powder. Although it still uses the same Lift Me Up bundle and Carried Away Paper that I've used all week, this is a much softer and more subtle approach.
Cutting and Measuring:
Base: Whisper White Thick Card stock 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Layer 1: Carried Away Designer Series Paper 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" (I covered the entire base)
Layer 2: Mint Macaron Card stock 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Layer 2: Whisper White Card stock 4" x 3"
This acrylic block watercoloring technique is pretty cool.
