It's hard to believe Sale-a-Bration is drawing to a close. In just a week, we'll have to say goodbye to all these limited time, free with purchase products: Party Pandas, Heartfelt Blooms, and Amazing You, and more. And while those are all perfectly lovely, what I'm going to miss most are theTutti Fruitti card bases and envelopes!
You'd think I'd wants something more glitzy and glamorous, like the3-pack of Shimmer Ribbon or the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper. Nope...give me these pretty, patterned pre-cut and pre-scored card bases and matching envelopes any day! They're so quick and easy to use. Just grab one off the shelf, and start stamping. I know it doesn't take long to cut and score a card base, but this is like going through the drive through. It's the convenience that makes it so appealing. Not to mention...their patterned bases. It's like getting an extra layer of designer series paper!
Speaking of missing thing. I'm missing my Stamping at the Beach Retreat peeps! Today's card is from the free 8-card class that was included in their goodie bag. It featured the Flirty Flowers Stamp Set, and yes, they all used the Tutti Fruitti card bases and envelopes!
Sale-a-bration ends March 31st. Don't miss out on all these great products! Order yours before it's too late.

;Twenty two years ago today, the most miraculous and utterly joyful thing happened. I became a mother to the world's most awesome son! For the last 22 years, my life has been full of Thomas Trains and Hot Wheels cars, BB Guns and Bows and Arrows, video games and electric guitars. And I think he's owned more cars in the last 6 years than I have in my whole life! You know what? I wouldn't have it any other way!
Through all the ups and downs of parenting you come to realize it gets harder as they get older, not easier. But through it all, one thing remains the same; I love my son with my whole heart. He bring such joy to everyone . He has a big heart and is living life to the fullest. He has big dreams and is learning who he is, what he wants, and discovering that to be truly happy in life, you have to remain true to yourself.
I'm missing him something fierce today. But he told me yesterday he'll be home for the weekend. And that is the best present I could ask for!
Happy birthday, Nathaniel Thomas. I love you and I am so proud of the man you're becoming!
You know I love this kid because I used 3 stamp sets and 2 coloring techniques on a single card! If that isn't love, I don't know what is!

I love a snowy day in the spring. It's beautiful, white, quiet...and you know it will melt soon! While my friends up north are preparing for their 4th snowstorm this month, I can sit here, drink my coffee, and not worry about shoveling, or the roads, or running out of milk.
I had fun playing with the Lovely Wishes stamp set last night. It's one I haven't used a lot, and I wanted something simple so I could showcase all the 2016-2018 retiring InColors. I always get a little nostalgic this time of year, as we prepare to say goodbye to the 5 colors we've grown to love over the last 2 years.
If you could choose just one of these colors to stay, which would you choose?
Sadly, once they're gone, they're gone. Even worse, once the retiring list is announced, these colors will sell out immediately. Now is the time to stock up on your ink refills, paper, ribbon, or get a new set of markers.

Every time I took the dogs out Monday, there were little birds chirping on the roof. The daffodils are blooming. And at the beach last weekend, the green sticky North Carolina pollen was leaving traces all over the cars. Yes...even if they're calling for snow later this week, spring is here.
And so is CASE-ing Tuesday! This week, I combined two out of several bird sets I have on my shelf: Bird Banter provided the sentiment and the image is from Flying Home. And just like the CASE-ing card, I took a giant leap of faith and cut up one of the Sale-a-Bration Tutti Fruitti card bases as one of the layers, only I used Pool Party and not Calypso Coral. I love these bases so much, I used them as the card base for my Stamping at the Beach Stamp-a-Stack last weekend. It's so hard to cut them, but I do like how it turned out, don't you?
Come join the fun. Create a card based on the above pattern and then post it on the Facebook Post. Or, if you post it elsewhere on Facebook, you can use the hashtag #CASEingtuesday139.

After months of planning and several weeks of prep work, the Stamping at the Beach Retreat is over. It was a huge success with many smiling faces and memories to last for years to come. Twenty-one of us participated in the retreat, with 3 people coming as far away the Boston area and 3 'Retreat in a Box' kits to go, and before Friday night was over, many were already asking when the next one is. (Hint: mark your calendars for the weekend of 9/21!)
It was a fun-filled stamping weekend, with new friendships made over the course of the three days. It was so fun to see first-time stampers as well as seasoned paper-crafters working together, and learning and sharing together.
I came home exhausted. After a very long 3-hour drive home, I took a 2-hour nap. My dining room is full of boxes that need unpacked, but I'll get to that this week. It's back to reality this week as I place orders for March Card Club, and start prep work for April Club and Classes. There are still 2 weeks of Sale-a-Bration work to focus on, and swaps to make for OnStage in April. But for now, I think I might just rest and reflect on the people who made my very first weekend retreat so very special.
Wish you'd been there! We certainly made some memories this past weekend!
