Good Morning! Thank you for joining me this morning for my Coffee & Cards. I know that 7 am is super early for some of you and that's ok - it's early for me, too! You can always catch my video here on the blog, on my YouTube channel, or over on my Facebook Page after the live crafting session.
Last week on Coffee & Cards, I shared how to create layers with 1/4" borders. Today, I shared how to create the same simple layering but with 1/8" border. Here are the measurements I used today:
When I started card making, knowing the size of the layers was of the card was the hardest part for me. I would search high and low for tutorials that included all the measurements so I could learn. And that's why, every day, I include a full tutorial here for you. I don't ever want anyone to say, "I really liked Michelle's card, but I just don't know how to recreate it."
Today's Card features the A Good Man (from the new catalog - available June 4) and Beauty Abounds Stamp Sets. The A Good Man Stamp Set is perfect for coloring with our Stampin' Blends, too!

Summertime heat calls out for navy, white, and seersucker! This paper from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper stack is perfectly reminiscent of those summer seersucker suits. I actually saw a gentleman in downtown Pittsboro wearing one the other day, complete with straw boating hat! All he needed was a glass of sweet tea (or mint julep) to make the picture complete!
I think this guy in from A Good Man stamp set is much more relaxed and casual, don't you? Both the Come Sail Away paper and A Good Man stamp set are available starting June 4th, and both are well deserving of your wish list!
Use the sketch to plan out your card. You can change a lot, a little, or make the card just as it is in the catalog. Then post it to the Facebook thread. We can’t wait to see your cards. You can use the following hashtag if you post your card elsewhere on Facebook or Social Medial. #CASEingTuesday200.
When the design wakes you up at 4 am and you can't go back to sleep, get up and make the card! And then, go back to sleep on the couch. That's exactly what I did this morning. And boy were the dogs confused!
This week, I'm showcasing the brand new A Good Man stamp set, which is available starting next week. It's going to be great for Father's Day cards, so I wanted to share some ideas with you in case this is at the top of your wish list.
This is a super simple card, which uses Early Espresso and Very Vanilla to make a great statement. Be sure to watch the rest of the week as we step thing up just a bit more.
Base: Early Espresso: 9 1/2" x 4 1/4", scored at 5 1/2"
Layer 2: Very Vanilla, 4 1/4" x 3 3/4"
Layer 3 (inside): 5 1/4" x 4"
