As many of you know, I took my sister with me on the Stampin' Up! incentive cruise to Alaska. The morning we cruised the fjords was simply amazing. Since we had our own balcony stateroom, we ordered room service and spent the morning sipping coffee and having breakfast, surrounded by the rugged beauty of the glacier. We had two sea days ahead of us, and after two full days of Alaskan excursions, we were ready to take it easy and relax and enjoy the scenery. I'd anticipated and planned for this, and brought out the June 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Broadway Star. We went up to the Viking Crown Lounge, grabbed a table up front at the windows, and crafted while we cruised, watching for whales off the bow of the ship.
I love the ease and portability of Paper Pumpkins when I'm traveling. This isn't the first time I've grabbed one of those iconic orange boxes and tucked it into my carry on. They're compact, light weight, but boy are they full of fun! Take a look for yourself.
This particular card is going out to Heather, one of my Stamping Bees. She hit her first milestone yesterday and I couldn't be more proud of her! Hip! Hip! Hooray for Heather!
I love celebrating my Stamping Bee Team. They're such an amazing and talented group of crafters. Won't you join us? I'd be happy to welcome you to the team!

Last weekend I was honored to be a guest teacher at my friend, Selene Kempton's, retreat up in Massachusetts. It's always fun going up there and sharing my passion for paper crafting. This is the third time I've done this, and it's wonderful to reconnect with friends I've made, and make new ones along the way.
I loved having a Christmas in August theme, too! It was so much fun combining the Stylish Christmas Stamp Set and Under the Mistletoe Designer Series paper for a 12-card Stamp-a-Stack. I was thankful I'd chosen Sweet & Simple designs, since the electricity went out during my 2nd class! Thank goodness for resourcefulness and iPhones. With a few strategically placed flashlights, we were back stamping, albeit in the dark.
I came home with THREE remaining packets. Each packet includes:
Base: Real Red, 11" x 4 1/4", scored at 5 1/2"
Layer 1: Basic Black, 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Layer 2: Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper, 5" x 3 3/4"
Layer 3: Vellum, 5" x 3 3/4"
Layer 4: Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper, Starburst Punch
Layer 5: Whisper White 2" Circle Punch

When the Lad was in school, I put a note in his lunchbox every day. Even when he was in high school and packing his own lunch, I'd do my best to sneak a note inside it. I used to just write it on a post it note, but wish I'd had the Stampin' Up! notecards then. And now, they come in such a great variety of sizes, it would have added some variety to the lunches.
Today's card uses the En Route Stamp Set, part of the Best Route Suite. I love the bright color palette, too. Take a look at what's included in this suite.

It's never too early to for snowmen! And this little guy from the new Spirited Snowmen Stamp Set is just so cheerful. And he's super easy to color with Stampin' Blends. I used Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy, but I can't wait to be creative and use different color combinations.
This card was made for the Creative Inking Blog Hop. This month, we had to make a card based on the below sketch. I was at a paper crafting retreat this weekend and this little guy is one of the projects I worked on, as well as Christmas cards and tags. It's never to early to start your holiday crafting!
*The Spirited Snowmen Stamp Set is found in the 2018 Holiday Catalog, and will be available starting on September 5th.
Let's see what everyone else made this month.
