BOO! And welcome to the first week of my 12 Weeks of Halloween blog and video series. Every Thursday until Halloween, I'll be featuring a not-so spooky project that you can use to decorate your home, office, or share with others.
Today, I make sparkly Jack O'Lanterns using the new Mini Curvy Keepsake Box Dies. And while these dies are part of the Let it Snow Suite, that doesn't mean you can't use them all year round. I also used two new Stamp sets, Boo to You and Harvest Hellos.
Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator allows me to order out of new catalogs a whole month earlier than anyone else. That means, a whole extra month of fun crafting possibilities! If you'd like to place your holiday order now, it's a great time to join. For just $99, you get $155 in your choice of products, free shipping, and a $10 coupon to use in September. Plus, there's a ton of other benefits, which I discussed on my blog yesterday. Contact me with questions, or click here to join today.

I couldn't resist sharing these Hoot Hoot Hooray cards we made at Sunday's Stamping Bee team meeting. Aren't the adorable? I wish you could have been here to hear the reaction of everyone when they walked in and saw them! Normally, we stamp after then end our our meeting, but they just couldn't wait and so we ended up stamping first.
I hadn't seen most of my team since June and it was so good to see them. There were 10 Bees at my house, and I did my first Facebook Live meeting since I have a growing number of team members who are not local. After we did our stamping, they wanted to hear all about my trip to Greece! It was fun to relive my favorite moments of the incentive trip with them. We celebrated summer with a summer-themed cards swap and I grilled burgers and we had a 'picnic'. Everyone brings something to share for our team dinners and we had potato salad, baked beans, and the most amazing ice cream sandwich cake for dessert. It was a great evening and the only thing that would have made it better would have been if you had been there, too.
How big is your Stampin' Up! Wish list? Many of my Bees joined Stampin' Up! because their list was big and they asked me how they could save. If you have a giant wish list and would like a discount on everything you buy from Stampin' Up, the Starter Kit is on sale right now and it's an AMAZING DEAL.
No strings attached. You get $155 in Stampin Up product, your choice for $99 (with free shipping). PLUS, you get a $10 coupon of your first order. AND you can include items from the holiday catalog now, too!
Then, get a discount on everything you buy through yourself. Want to order from the holiday catalog now? Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world are able to pre-order in August, and you can, too!

WOW! What a weekend! Saturday was my BIG annual catalog mini day retreat with 15 of my Stamping Bee and other Southeast Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. And what a party it was! We met at the cutest little Bed & Breakfast, the 149-year old The Carriage House in Carthage, NC. The Inn Keepers, Debbie & and her husband made us feel right at home. He helped carry in all of our boxes and bags, and even offered to park the cars in the rain. Debbie had thought of everything we could possibly need. The rooms we used were beautifully decorated and set up with everything we could possibly need. Lunch was perfect! She prepared one of the prettiest spring salads I'd ever seen, pesto baked tomatoes, and cheddar biscuits. Then, right when we were wrapping up our business training and getting ready to craft, she brought out our afternoon snack: hot peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream and apple slices with caramel sauce. She certainly knows how to cater to crafters!
It was such a lovely day and we were sad to have to leave such gracious hospitality. But we'll be back in September for our demonstrator holiday mini-retreat. So mark your calendars for September 14. This will be a 1-day mini retreat, with nothing like you've ever seen before. This isn't your typical quarterly meeting! Space is limited to the first 20 people. Registration is due No Later than 8/1.

Today, we have a Sweet & Simple card using the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. Beautiful, but quick, as I'm getting ready to put the final touches on my Stamping Bee day-long mini retreat tomorrow. I can't wait as I'm so excited for everyone to dive into their goodie bags and find their gifts. I've worked for several weeks on making tomorrow special for my team and our guests. I'll have pictures for you on Monday, but for now, everything is still undercover!
I have a quick tip for you today. Do you ever tie a bow or not and get frustrated because the ends are not cooperating and seem to have a life of their own. That's what happened to me today. One of the ends of my knot refused to lay down, and was standing straight up in the air no matter what I tried. So, I rolled a mini glue dot into a ball and stuck it right on the darker edge of the Petal Pink 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon. It worked perfectly. And best of all, you can't see it!
