All week I've been showcasing butterflies, or more specifically, theBeauty Abounds Stamp Set. While this is part of the Beauty Abounds Bundle, I chose to focus on just the stamp set. I think the dies are pretty, but the background stamps in the stamp set are the real star of the show for me.
When I first started stamping, I didn't know what to do with those background stamps. Looking back, my designs seemed a little flat because they lacked the depth and texture that backgrounds stamps can give. So the next time you open a stamp set and wonder, "What am I going to do with that piece?", try using it as part of the background and see what happens.
Last night, on Valentine's day, I held my first every a very fun non-Valentine's themed Kit Night. It was so much fun. Everyone brought a kit to work on, or one of my leftover classes to work on. It was great fun. We made banana splits, drank sparkling rosé wine, and everyone who attended received a red long-stemmed rose from me. It was so much fun. I can't wait to do it again!
